Once again it seems that more and more people are asking about joining the clan. The clan registry grows larger and the member monitor on EVIL~ROBOTO is full... I would like to recruit more people, but I stress the importance of inducting friends into this clan. If you look at the last batch of new people, only a quarter of those still come online, the rest seeme to have disappeared. Those aren't people that I want here...if you want to come and go as you wish, then you're not a member...but merely a visitor. So, let me reitterate, if you want to join this clan...hang out and get to know the members and leaders, I guarantee your experience here will be much better.

A note to those that play Diablo: Members of this clan that participate in playing Diablo are not obligated by membership to assist any other member that plays Diablo. Just like a member that plays sc is not required to join a V.E 2s or 3s game. It is all voluntary as to what the person wants to play. So please do not harass members into playing or doing something that they don't want to. The only thing I do expect is Trust and Honor; do NOT snack on your teammate's loot, if they ask you to hold it, then give it back when asked. If you borrow it, give it back when asked or when you get a better item. This has turned the game sour to a few of us, so please heed this. I will probably return to Diablo once the new patch comes out. Lord only knows what's going to happen when WC3 is released...heh.

Yesterday a Korean player, KimKyungAh, posted a major compliment in our forum regarding the sportsmanship and attitude of one of our members, V.Evil-Skitzo. That is the mission of this clan, to be known for our excellent sportsmanship and attitude. I have already posted my response in the forum, but again I would like to thank both Jaehong and Zack.

This Goes Out To All Members, Friends, And Guests Of V.E:

I understand that not everyone here knows each other and it's safe to say that not everyone likes each other for one petty reason or another...one has to admit that to look for a reason to "hate" another is pretty weak. Yes, even I have my standards, but I try not to pass undue judgement upon another without trying to fully understand all sides and all perspectives. Therefore, I ask that each and every one of you evaluate your own self and standards, then pass judgement upon yourself first before passing judgement upon another...then maybe you'll find that the other person is not much different from yourself and realize how silly this nonesuch is.

Understand and learn to accept...it starts with you and the person next to you. Once everyone learns that, then maybe we can have hopes for World Peace, or at least peace and respect with the people we deal with everyday.

Once again, I certainly hope that members new and old are aware that they are to have only 1 V.Evil- name per person and no changing without getting an okay from one of the Leaders or myself. Bots can use a name once authorized and it must be ALL CAPS as well as have greets whispered or turned off ( you may have your own bot greet you publicly, just use some common sense ). Only other extra V.Evil- names are DiabloII names ( still must be authorized ). Those original members that have Evil~ names are the only exceptions and I hope that they are keeping their names alive. If you have more than 1 V.Evil- name please make a decision as to which one you're going to keep and let me know the names so I can note them in my database. I don't have the time to track duplicate names for my members unless you want to dedicate your precious time to keeping track of everyone's stats.

There seems to be some security issues going on with Bravenet.com, the hosts to our clan forum. They hope to have everything up and running before too much longer, so just keep trying periodically.

Greetings members, we have had an interesting vacation and start of a new year. There are new events happening in this clan. Recently we have lost a few members, Ryu, Derek, Skitzo, Sin, and Zerling. Due to conflict of interests within their new clan we have recovered Skitzo and Sin with renewed loyalty and determination to continue making ViralEvil the best clan on Bnet. Aside from some personal differences, the members of Clan [LeGiT] are to be treated as friends.

Sin and I are coming up with new ideas to make the website better and more attractive. I have just about finished the beta and after reviewing all content and links, I will be uploading it for official use. We do have have a new addition to the site at this time, and that is ViralEvil's very own forum. So, members, post away and be heard. Visitors and friends are also welcome to post comments and feedback. V.Evil-Sin will be moderating the forum, so please keep it civil.

I would also like to announce new additions to the leadership of this clan. Through his objective and understanding, yet humble views, V.Evil-Skitzo has proven himself worthy of leadership in this clan. I hereby promote Skitzo to the rank of Team Leader. Skitzo and LordZhod will control this clan in my absence...and they will speak in my behalf, however, I will always have the final say. Also, V.Evil-Mage29 is now commissioned to be the Team Leader for ViralEvil's Diablo II extension. Mage is quite knowledgeable in the workings and events of D2. Members are advised to speak with him on questions concerning D2. I will be including other e-mail links to the various officers of ViralEvil to help streamline the addressing of questions and concerns.

And lastly, should anyone have any feedback about this latest change in events e-mail me. As clan leader I will try to make News updates more often even if there is nothing to report. Hopefully the forum will suffice, but if there is something that needs posting on the coming News Page, please inform me or one of our prestigious Team Leaders. Greetings all, guess who blessed us with his presence today? My partner and our leader Evil~Smurf~21. Unfortunately Smurf has been waylaid in the hospital after a serious car accident 3 months ago. He has been paralised from the waist down and only has full use of one of his arms. Please keep him in your thoughts as he continues to recover. He will be joining us when he can.

Also, I would like to commend V.Evil-Skitzo for currently having the most games played, most wins, and ranked #43 on the Bnet Ladder. Also V.Evil-Sin is not too far behind him. To all the others, good job and keep up the fighting spirit.

The new clan stats are posted under the Meet ViralEvil link, so check it out. I would also like everyone to pay attention to the column titled "Rank". This is the structure of our chain of command. So, if you're not sure who runs things around here, then we have some talking to do. Just to make sure that there is no misunderstanding, here are a few definitions:

Master: The Clan Leaders...This should be self explanitory.
Leader: Team Leader - In charge of members, strikers, and clan games.
Oper: Channel Operator - In charge of conduct in clan channels.
VIP: Clan Emissary - Clan representatives in other channels, recruit screeners.
Reg: General Member - Promote good sportmanship, keep a good attitude, and kick ass.
where do you wish to go from here???

I would also like to recognize all the members that have been laddering this season. This is the biggest turn out since the clans founding. It takes patience and skill to ladder against someone that you don't know and win. And even if you don't win, you may learn something new. So be sure to save your replays!!! If you have good strategies, e-mail them to me... I am working on a page for posting these for clan use. If we continue to work together, then we can continue to dominate the Bnet Ladder. We have 6 members ranked on there. Keep up the good work, only 1 month left in this season.

My teammates: I would like you each to read this particular message twice, and think seriously about the part YOU are playing in this issue. Over the past couple weeks, we have seen the evidence of ViralEvil's growing popularity manifest itself in our channel. We have more visitors, they bring more friends, and it is true that we also attract less desirable spectators. Aside from the undesireables, we now have a perfect opportunity for recruiting, which saves us the time and hassle of electing Clan Recruiters, and sending them out to do the most difficult job in any clan. The ViralEvil channel SHOULD be attractive, but we can very easily destroy this chance at free notoriety by simply continuing to do what we are doing.

The bickering must stop. Whether or not you started it, whether or not you are speaking with a member, whether or not a moderator is present, and whether or not there are visitors present, every single one of you MUST realize that YOUR OWN BEHAVIOR reflects the quality of the entire Clan. When people watch two (or more...) members engage in a dispute with each other, they see a ViralEvil that is not unified. When Leaders instruct members to moderate themselves, only to be ignored, they see a ViralEvil with no control or discipline. Ask yourself this: Do I want to be part of ViralEvil when it has lost its Unity, Self Control, and Self Discipline? What do you think our visitors would say? Our recruits?

As you know by now, Tek and I have a Zero Tolerance approach to quickly resolving the adverse effects of a troublemaker in our midst. Each of us is free to express him- or herself, but do it maturely, or take it outside the channel - and NOT to another Clan Channel! Some members who refused this simple directive include Sup, Nuke, and Newbie, all of whom have departed our company. This is not a threat to those who behave poorly, but a pledge to those who truly care about the ongoing growth of ViralEvil. We are a team. Play as a team. Win as a team!

Well gang, we are gaining notoriety with our new clan tag. V.Evil- will be recognized as a force to be reckoned with whether it's in an allied game or on the bnet Ladder. We are also actively allying with other clans to help promote each other. Also, ALL members need to read the newest addition to ViralEvil website...The Code of Conduct. All will comply or suffer the consequences. Even though we are allying with other clans, our goal is to get that V.Evil- tag up on that Ladder scoreboard. Work hard and play hard, but don't dispair...after all, this is supposed to be fun.

A couple of pieces of news that is a MUST KNOW... Today the SC Ladder has reset, so get on it. 1st season members don't have too much to worry about, but better start getting practice in now and that means on ladder. The rest of you have no excuse.
Now the BIG news, a conclusion has been made as to the new tag for our clan. Members have until the New Year to have their names conformed to V.Evil-"username". Try to make it simple so that typing it isn't hard. You can continue to use your exisiting name and you may want to keep it around even after the switch, but you MUST conform. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. As an example here are the newest conversions:

Bnet has a new feature...it's a "friends list". Type /friends for more info. It's good for peeps that you want to keep track of that our bots do not. It almost removes the need for bots...almost...nah, nevermind. Also, I will become unemployed after my shift at work Sunday night. No more DSL support unless Directv/Telocity hires me on full-time. So, that means I will be busy looking for a new job. Hopefully I will find something to my preference and return to a normal life...heh...as if.

It's been a long sad day, this day. 266 lives were sacrificed at the whim of terrorists. Hundreds of innocent people have died because of this and nearly 300 rescue personnel gave their lives selflessly to save the living. People are lining up to help with what they can...blood...money...emotional support. On my way home, I saw a man on an overpass proudly waving the American flag back and forth. I may not agree with how our nation's leaders run things, I may not like some of society's norms. But regardless, we are Americans and no terrorists will take away our way of life or our freedom! There will be hell to pay...

Today is yet another day that will live in infamy. Terrorist attacks on U.S. soil have come to a record high with the destruction of the World Trade Center in New York and demolition of the USMC wing of the Pentagon in Washington D.C. This is one of the worst attack on American soil since Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. National Security is in full effect. You can get more details from Yahoo!, MSNBC, and CNN.
This has also had a dramatic affect on Internet usage, so be aware.
Please keep the victims, both alive and dead, in your prayers. And I just hope that the President can walk the walk and bring the ones responsible to justice.

Per Bnet news updated 9/10/01 Here. New Battle.net accounts names are now restricted to just letters (a through z), numbers (0 through 9) and the symbols - _ . ( ) [ ]. In addition names cannot start with a punctuation mark nor can names have adjacent punctuation marks. Bnet is reserving other symbols for exclusive use by Battle.net.
We will need to come to a majority clan agreement on what the new format for member names will be. Currently we have two using "Evil-", but this in in use by another "Evil" clan. So far...valid ideas are: VE-username, username[VE], username(VE), VE.username.
I will be allowing members to keep their current "Evil~" names if they wish, due to their records. Please, let's get some discussion and feedback on this so we can move on to bigger and better things.
Diablo members need not worry about this at this time. Thank you.
