I met my husband online. Yes for all those that are looking to meet their one true love online, it DOES happen. Mike and I met in a chatroom though American Singles and things just escaleted from there. At the time, he was in Ozark, Arkansas and I was in Winchester, Virginia---1064 miles apart. This wonderful man packed up everything that he could pack on his pick-up truck and his son and his dog and drove to Virginia to marry me. We had never met face-to-face before this but we both just knew in our hearts that this was it---this was the REAL thing.; He moved in my house with me on August 28, 1999 and we were married a month later. And to tell the truth, I have never been happier.
Currently, I am a SAHM (stay at home mom). long with my chosen profession, I am also an ordained minister with the Universal Life Church. I found my calling for religious beliefs many years ago, although I tried to tell myself otherwise.; But when something is a part of you, it is impossible to deny it. Mike is also an ordained minister through Universal Life Church. Mike and I both are currently Cerfified Paranormal Investigators (ok Ghost Hunters would be simple laymans terms) with a local organization.
My beliefs are that of the Old Religion.; I am an Eclectric Witch and my husband is a Shaman (if lables need to be used); I have been studying The Craft since the early 80s. I have only been out of the broom closet; for a very few years. I proudly wear symbols of my beliefs. I am a very firm believer in RESPECTING ones religious preference although I do not have to agree with it. To each his own as I see it.....In my beliefs, I practice the Wiccan Rede and there are 2 main rules to follow---;harm ye none, do what ye will; and the Threefold Law. Basically, I may do as I see fit so long as I do not harm another living thing. And as for the Threefold Law---I keep in mind that whatever I do in my life, be it good or bad, will come back to me times three.
In my free time (what little I have), I enjoy reading, movies (horror movies are my absolute favoritealthough with being able to experience actual ghosts on a regular basis, I have a tendency to pick these movies apart LOL), playing on the computer, music (from the 70s and 80s and country), and doing crafts (plastic canvas, crocheting, needlepoint, beading, One Stroke painting...) I also love the relaxing effect from Celtic music, candles, and incense. It is the greatest thing after a long day. And then there is my favorite hobby, ghost hunting. I guess one could say that I love the thrill of the chase and I love exploring and discovering new places.and feeling the vibrations of the past .I also enjoy peacful strolls through graveyeards, mostly a night although during the day is fun as well. During the day I get to have a better view of the headstones and markers, which are truly a work of art. Strange hobbies, I know, but they are still ones that I will continue to enjoy the rest of this life.
See??? And you thought that I was going to have GREEN skin and a WART on my nose---not all Pagans have a sense of humor but I know tha t do :-)
