I
would like to take this opportunity to thank the two men responsible for
my education in the Ip Man Wing Chun system. I have been very fortunate
in having the opportunity to train under both sons of the late Grandmaster
Ip Man. Masters Ip Chun and Ip Ching, both great Gung Fu men, and genuine
gentlemen. It is thanks to their generous attitudes and personalities that
I was given unique access to the knowledge passed to them through their
father. Grandmaster Ip Man was fortunate in having access to the knowledge
and skills developed by two Masters, Chan Wah Shun and Leung Bik. He was
able to glean great insight into the differences in application due to
the much different physical stature of these two Masters. I too have been
fortunate in being introduced to the nuances in application of the Ip brothers,
as they each have a unique prospective and approach to the application
of their fathers method due to their physical stature and attributes. I
have been given the benefit of their knowledge, skill and experience. For
this I will forever be grateful to both Ip Chun and Ip Ching.
