A 2-page paper due 9/25/00 on the representation of technology in film.

Midterm exam
The Midterm exam has an in-class component and a take-home component. The exam questions for the take-home part will be posted online on 10/16/00. The completed exam is due in class on 10/23.

Digital realities
A 2-page paper due 11/13/00 focusing on how cinematic conventions influence web design. You will also use your own web research for this paper.

Final paper
The final paper is due on Friday December 8, 2000. Please hand it in by 3 p.m. in my mailbox at the Film department.

This handout will help you select a topic, start your research, and develop an argument for the final paper.
