Hmm... my fav books. I love fantasy books so my top favs are The Silmarillion, LOTR triology, Interview with the Vampire, The Queen of the Damned and The Last Vampire series. I also like books on criminology ( I love forensics ) and others fav books are Memoirs of A Geisha, The Bond and ......

About myself
~ Hi there, I'm Celine ( That's my real name. Ahaha... ) I'm a Malaysian Chinese currently studying in college. I've been drawing since I could hold a pencil on my own. (^_^) Gave much trouble to my parents with my doodles on the walls, newspapers, letters, tv screen when I was a kid. ^_^:

Even though at an ripe old age of 23, I still can't afford to buy those really cool looking pens and markers and etc. I still use my fav 'ol mechanical pencil and A4 papers. I'm just learning how to use Photoshop and makes a royal mess when I attempt to colour my drawings in it. Before that, I've experienced with PhotoDeluxe to colour my drawings.

As much as I want to, I can't colour to save my life. I'm terribly bad at colours, especially when it comes to shading. I can't seem to get the shades right. (^_^) Tried to attend an art ( tuition ) class but it costs a small fortune, so I dropped the idea. Nowadays, I learn how to colour by looking at other artists' work. It's a slow and hard work but I hope it'll bear results. (^_^)

About Virtual Haven
~ (^_^) Well... one can say this is uh... version 2, I guess. My first site was my very first attempt at creating a site, so the design wasn't that great. At least Virtual Haven is a bit better. (^_^) The reason I named my site Virtual Haven is because it's like a refuge, for myself; for my drawings. I know very well I'm not as good as most artists out there but it's the best I can offer at the moment. (^_^)

Now I'll explain about the drawings found on Virtual Haven. The anime/game drawings are well, anime/game-based drawings. You might notice that there's more BSSM drawings more than any other anime because I started drawing anime characters after watching the anime.

The oriental drawings are basically drawings based on the Chinese/oriental culture. I've several collection of oriental artbooks by some great artists like Ping-Fan, Lu Yang-Guan and etc.

I LOVE every myth and legends that I can get hold of, be it Norse mythology ( the Valkyries ), Greek mythology or Egyption mythology and etc. My fantasy drawings are mostly mermaids, faeries, angels and characters from books ( I've several attempts at drawing Luthien Tinuviel from the Silmarillion ) (^^) The misc section are just everyday doodles. I doodle during boring lectures, during revision for my finals, on the train and sometimes before I sleep.

About e-mailing me, my drawings, linking and etc.
~ First things first. (^_^) If you guys are going to send an email to me, please write "Your drawings" or "Virtual Haven site" because I receive a lot of junk mails. If you guys didn't write the subject title, I might mistaken your email as a junk mail and deleted it.... and this brings me to the another 'issue'. I'll try to reply all of your emails as soon as I can, however if I didn't reply to your email, it means :

(1) I don't have time; College assignments
(2) I thought your email was junk mail and accidently deleted it or
(3) my Inbox's full and I didn't receive anything. In this case, leave a message in my guestbook. (^_^)

Another thing is, I don't mind if some of you guys would like to use my drawings for your personal use/site, but please ask/tell me about it via email ( please send your site's URL too (^_^)) I'd appreciate it if you guys do that. Nothing is more irrating than to see someone claiming your work as theirs.

I'll be going on a linking spree with my friends and my fav artists on the net. If for some reason you saw my site being linked to yours and you don't like it, please let me know. I'll remove the link immediately. However, please do -not- link to the images directly. Um... another thing is about requests. I used to take requests but I've stopped taking them because I just don't have the time. After college I still have to work part-time. I'm very sorry if I rejected any of you guys' requests. *sorry*
