The journey continues.........You leave Chickie and Jim out in the back yard to do their romancing. Fairly quickly you notice that they achieve a "tie", which makes you happy. You sit down for a cup of tea when you hear some yelping outside. You go out to check to find that Chickie has Jim in a death grip around the throat. He has severe lacerations around his neck. You pull Chickie from one side, while Kim tries to rescue Jim. You both get scratched in the struggle. Kim rushes Jim to the vet, while you try and soothe Chickie. Kim returns several hours later. Jim is waiting in the car. No one is game to let him near Chickie again. Kim, silently hands you the bill for $280 for Jim's treatment. Later, you're not quite sure that Chickie is pregnant. You and Kim decide not to breed them together again. If nothing else, you can't afford another vet bill like the last one!
