Copy
Presentation.
* Put your name in
the top lefthand corner of the page followed by a slash and
the number of the page you are working on.
* Put a tagline in
the top righthand corner of the first page and every page,
followed by a slash and the number of the page. The tagline
should be brief and describe the nature ofthe story. Its purpose
is to instantly identify the copy and enable your editor to
distinguish it from other articles being produced elsewhere
on the newsdesk.
* At the end of each
page (if appropriate) write MORE FOLLOWS/... in the bottom
righthand corner. At the end of the entire article write ENDS.
* Do not
break works (for example with hypens) at the end of lines
or across pages.
* Use double-spacing
and do not indent paragraphs.
* Keep your copy
"neutral" - do not use italics
or bold. Do not attempt to write a headline unless you are
asked to do so.
