Article 2.0 - 28 Finalists
Now we are talking! VPI2 recieved many great auditions, but we only had room for 28 to advance! The 28 were divided into 4 groups of 7. 2 people will advance from each group, as well as 4 from the Wildcard which will compose our Final 12! There is alot of talent in this season, so things are bound to get exciting! This brand new adventure has only begun! Good Luck Everyone!

Group Three:
Continuing the show tonight is Maxwellsinging "Lean On Me" by Bill Withers: Nick: Maxwell, you perfomrnace was just aiight for me dawg (words of Randy Jackson). That performance was all over the place. It sounded like you were out of breath at some parts. Be careful with pitch, because it was totally off. It sounded like you put alot of effort into it, and you were having fun! Good Effort!
Ksenia: Hmm, maybe this would be ok if you were singing harmony. Some parts sounded like you sang them in an accent. To get the right pitches you need the backup singers and you sang a few off the wall notes. I'd suggest some more practice to get that pitch really centered, then start adding on special touches.
Cory: Your were kinda off alot of the song bud, and the song was a little low for your voice um just pick a song more in your range and really listen to the pitches next time, but overall it was a good attempt not the worst I've heard!

Next up tonight is Mike Sheehan, singing "The Trouble With Love" by Kelly Clarkson Nick: Mike, man I gotta give you props! This is a really hard song to sing, and I felt like you did it justice. You sang the song in a different key that suited you. My only advice would be to put some life into your voice in the future! Well Done!
Ksenia: So this wasn't really bad but it wasn't impressive either. Many of the notes were flat in pitch and tone (think energy, eye brows up, good breath support) I did like the melody changes you made to make the song work for you, those were nice and so was the vibrato. You seemed to be a little airy in the tone, try not letting as much air out (be stingy with it) there could be something really great here with a little more work.
Cory: Mike as you know I'm a big Kelly fan, she is tough to sing man, your voice sounded .. okay on this track but its just not the same when you change it to be so bland with out the moving notes ect.. So good job, but maybe a different artist is the route to go.
