Article 2.0 - 28 Finalists
Now we are talking! VPI2 recieved many great auditions, but we only had room for 28 to advance! The 28 were divided into 4 groups of 7. 2 people will advance from each group, as well as 4 from the Wildcard which will compose our Final 12! There is alot of talent in this season, so things are bound to get exciting! This brand new adventure has only begun! Good Luck Everyone!

Group Two:
Nick: Lisa, that was an alright performance. I feel like it was missing energy. Listening to it almost had me bored. There were some parts that were a little bit livelier than others. I listen to you and think "so what?"(words of Simon Cowell). You are going to have to work harder to impress us.
Ksenia: This was ok but was lacking something. A few tiny pitch errors and a little more breath support (remember breathe deep) I think what its lacking is originality, it sounded a lot like Jewel's version of the song. You might want to try singing this in mixed chest and head voice instead of the full head voice to make it a little fuller sounding. There was some nasal tone (ex. "coin") Overall work on those things I know you'll sound great!
Cory: Lisa you have a pretty good voice, I wasn’t really digging the song for me it was just kind of emotionless for me i look forward to hearing future songs from you, really put your heart and soul into the next one and you’ll shine. !

Finally we have Johnny C, singing "I'll Be" by Edwin McCain:
Nick: Johnny, that was horrific. There was absolutely nothing good about that performace. Also, do me a favour, listen to the original song, and listen to the pronunciation of "gallows". You don't stand a chance, sorry that I had to go through that.
Ksenia: Tough song and it showed. Your pitch was all over the place, few places you sang in a totally different key but mostly you tended to draw to the harmony. Theres too much reverb on the vocals, and the music could be a little louder. Work a lot on getting that pitch really solid.
Cory: Johnny, like Jon who sang "a thousand miles" you were off the Whole song, i actually couldn’t listen to the whole thing because it was so far off and it was painful to listen to, I give you credit for trying though.
