About the BSACP:
The Broadview School-Age Childcare Program operates in Broadview Avenue Public School but services other area schools as well. The program is staffed with qualified Early childhood Educators. We are licensed by the Ministry of Community, Family and Children's Services, and maintain the standards set in the Day Nurseries Act. The program is owned, operated and administered by a Parent/Community board of Directors. Parents are encouraged to participate on the board of Directors and attend the monthly meetings.
Hours of Operation:
Children 6 - 9 yrs
7:30-9:10
3:40-5:45

Children 4 - 5 yrs:
7:30 am - 5:45 pm
The kindergarten children attend either morning or afternoon class. Lunch is held in the Daycare but parents must provide a nut-restricted lunch.

• 1/2 days are also available for kindergarten children. Inquire at 722-0455

On PD days, March Break and Summer holidays, all children:
7:30 - 5:45 pm
Fees for 2003*:
School-Age: $315/ month
Kindergarten: $505/ month
*fees are subject to change based on budget changes from year to year.

"At Broadview School-Age Childcare Program, we provide a safe haven for children that complements the home and school environments. the program is planned by qualified Early Childhood Educators and facilitates physical, cognitive, creative and social development in children through active involvement in a child-directed envrionment. In addition, particular emphasis is placed on the building and reinforcement of a positive self-image and conflict resolution in a group setting."
Program Goals:

The goals of our program are to provide children with:

  • A secure, loving environment in which play provides unlimited learning experiences.
  • A program that is sensitive to the needs of each individual child.
  • Consistent guidelines for behaviour, care and social interaction.
  • Children are encouraged to participate in a variety of group and individual activities such as arts & crafts, dramatic play, games, reading, outdoor play, field trips and much more…
