1. Applicant is a Knight Banneret.
2. Authorized by the Templestone Marshal to own his/her own proper armor for heavy combat (rattan) according to ROC standards and must be authorized to fight rattan.
Armor / Weapons will include:
1. Helmet
2. Gorget
3. Pauldrons
4. Heavy Gambeson, Breastplate of Aketon
5. Elbow Cops
6. Knee Cops
7. Gaunlets
8. Athletic Cup
9. Kidney Belt
10. Shield
11. Rattan Sword (s)
12. Proper Fiberglass Spear
3. Petition the Head of Templestone for membership. The Head of State is the Grand Commander of the Order by virtue of his/her office.
4. Paid member of ROC in good standing for at least one year.
5. Must be a professed Christian reflecting a Biblical lifestyle and must be a member of his/her church.
6. Must submit Templesguard application with photos of applicant in heavy armor and proper period outfit. Except for eye glasses, medieval outfit must be as authentic for the time period chosen by the applicant. Modern substitutes will not be allowed.
7. A fee will be included for applicants. This fee will cover the cost of a Templesguard surcoat, hood and pennon. The cost of the fee may vary, please contact the Grand Commander for the current fee. The applicant will make a shield according to specific specifications.
8. Attend a special Templeguard ceremony for induction. A surcoat, peenon, hood and shield will be presented to the applicant.
