WCW Vs. WWF

Hello, this is ProWrestling Spotlight's newest columnist, The
Punisher.  I'm new to this so please don't send me thousands of e-mails
telling me what I did wrong.   BUT, If I can steal a line from a favorite
performer of mine, If you like what your seein', TELL ME!!!  Now onto the
article.

You probably read the title and figured you would read a article
about "The Big 2", right??  Well, that's not what your gonna read!!  Sorry,
that was a title that would you read it though, right??  Now, your right!! 
It is gonna be about WCW Vs. WWF.  But add alittle more heat into it and make
it WWF Vs. WCW Vs. ECW!!   Now, your gonna read about the Big 3!! 

If you don't get ECW Television, then that sucks for you!!   Because
if you enjoy the "hardcore" macthes in either WWF or WCW, you'll love ECW!!  
Mostly every macth has a table or two broken.  But not all macthes, no ECW
isn't JUST Extreme, no they actually have alot of talent.  Some of the less
hardcore but more talented ones are: Tajiri, Super Crazy, TAKA, Rob Van Dam
(Well, he is hardcore but not as much as others!), and who can forget Jerry
Lynn??   And that's just a few of their very talented roster.    Like I said
before, when WWF went into the crowd and started braking tables, they
domlished WCW in the ratings!!   But I truly beleive if WWF can win the
monday night ratings with hardcore macthes and showing "puppies", then if ECW
had a big name tv station and was on at the same time as raw and nitro, ECW
would absolutly CRASH WWF and WCW in the ratings!!  I am serious!!  Sure WCW
has alot of talent, but they can't book talent (example: look at Beniot,
Jericho, The Gaint).  Sure,  WWF has "puppies" but do you ever, EVER beleive
on National Television at primetime, they will show us the "puppies"?  I
don't think so.  ECW has Talent and can book it,   ECW has "puppies" and will
show them!!  That's why I think ECW would win the ratings!!

Now, it's time to talk about WWF.  Remember when WCW would win the
ratings every single week?   Well, now your wondering What Did WWF to get
back ontop and will that same startegie help WCW to even have a close race
with WWF?   Well, WWF got No-names ontop and a top contender for the world
belt.  Do you Remember "The Ringmaster" Steve Austin?  Or how about "The
Rookie Senstion" Rocky Maivia (The Rock)?   You probably answer yes to these
questions, but where were these wrestlers?  If Rocky Maivia won a macth, it
was a upset.   Steve Austin feuded with Savio Vega, and Lost almost every
macth!!   WWF pushed these superstars to the top and won the ratings.  It was
something new.   Now, for your second question, Could it help WCW to be in
the race?  The Answer is simply, yes.  If they pushed Scott Steiner up into a
PPV slot against the world champ, and was a top contender and slowly got
Diamond Dallas Page back into the US Title race, then they would actually
have a chance at winning the ratings.  WWF have really succeed with the
hardcore macthes.  But, I mean come on, Hardcore Holly?   How lame is that? 
And he's actually one the most hardcore wrestlers in the WWF?   Vince
McMahon, Put guys like D'lo Brown, "Roaddogg" Jesse James, Al Snow, Test, Big
Bossman, and Viscera in the hardcore division.  Wouldn't you rather wacth
them fight in a hardcore macth then Sparkplug Holly?  I thought so.   And I
think it's time for Billy Gunn to become a world title contender.  A good way
to make him a contender is by having him win the King of The Ring.  WWF's
Roster is greatly entertaining!!  Personally, I have wacthed WWF since the
days of Hogan, Iron Sheik, and Bob Backlund.  You can't wacth WWF with your
family anymore, but who wacthes anything with your family?!?!?   For that
matter who hangs out with their family.  But, that's a whole different
column!!!  


While, you can't push the button on the remote and turn on RAW with
your family, NITRO is a whole different story!!  I personally don't like the
way WCW is ran, but I will give respect where respect is due.  They probably
have the most talented roster out of ECW, WWF, and theirselves.   But, they
don't know how to book these great talents.  First of All, Their top 2
wrestlers should be retired!!!  I mean come on when you past the 70 mark, you
shouldn't really wrestle.   And Both of them are afraid of having their
theirs bodies even touching the ring.  Theses guys are pathetic and just keep
the microphone skills, and stay out of the ring. 

Now, I'll rank the federations from 1 to 10:

Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) -  8.9 -
If they had a big name station, they would be a close #2 (but after about two
months they would be the #1 wrestling fed).   Great Hardcore Macthes, good
gimmicks, good talent.   Everything you want from a fed, they have.

World Wrestling Federation (WWF)  - 9.0 -
GREAT Everything!!!  Name one thing that WWF doesn't do perfectly?   The only
thing I can think of is having some of their gimmicks.   That's WWF's only
weak point.  They will be #1 for sometime to come.

World Championship Wrestling (WCW) - 7.2 -
Could improve on Hardcore macthes,  could improve on storylines, could
improve on top contenders, could improve on women.   Overall WCW is a okay
federation.  That's why I gave it a 7.2.
