We have recently moved to the Boston area. We needed to find a home. So, the search began. After spending several months searching for a home, we decided that we had to build our new home. We wanted to build a home on lot 16 in the Forest Grove Estates. We simply loved the lot. Just when we made up our mind, we found that someone had already made an offer on that lot. With 36 of the 42 lots already taken, our choices were very few. We made an offer on lot 35. It was accepted the same day.
That afternoon, we got a call from our realtor. Surprise!! Lot 16 was back in the market, because the other party could not go through with it. We quickly switched our offer to lot 16! Now that we had an accepted offer, we had to negotiate with the builder. We wanted to make some changes to the floor plan that they proposed. We had to work out the legal issues. After two long weeks, many phone calls, many more faxes.... we signed the contracts.
