Challenge 5: ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Vision


Visions Five will become a fiscally and organizationally sound community organization with such breadth of support and such a record of achievement that its continuance as a corporate entity is not dependent upon any particular individuals. Its resources will be sufficient to assure that it attracts people of talent, dedication, and ability to assure that it will be a resource of growing importance to the community. It will remain forever responsive to community needs, not the shifting desires of particular individuals.

Actions


1. Embark upon a program of structuring our board to assure optimal participation in the work of the organization and responsiveness to the needs of the public and of funding agencies. Develop means for improving leadership and planning.

2. Develop capacity to support an adequate fulltime staff.

3. Develop means for improving leadership and planning in the community and in the organization.

4. Develop close, enduring working relationships with faith-based organizations to complement our efforts in housing and development.
