		Challenge 2: AFFORDABLE SINGLE FAMILY HOUSING Vision Visions Five will become a high profile contributor to creating a housing stock adequate to meet the needs of all income segments. It will be known for fostering safe and stable neighborhoods. Its housing units will be energy efficient and planned and constructed with due regard given to the environmental impact of the homes and their technologies. Actions 1. Apply for and complete a self-help housing funding program to produce a significant number of single family homes over the next five years. 2. Build and sell at least twenty affordable single family homes over the next five years in cooperation with faith based organizations, various state and federal agencies to demonstrate the best energy and water saving technologies available for affordable housing. 3.
