experienced caregivers provide up to 24 hour care in the comfort of your

We know that it isn't easy
to make the decision to invite a stranger into your home to provide homecare.
That's why our highly personalized screening system is the best in homecare
and designed to maximize your peace of mind. You'll have the opportunity
to interview any caregiver we refer to you. You'll only accept a caregiver
that you feel totally comfortable with. When you get to know the quality
of the caregivers we refer, you're going to be pleasantly surprised to
see that at Visiting Angels, character matters!
Our
Caregivers
The criminal screening service that we
use is the best in the business. It checks out the caregiver on a parish
basis (not simply relying on the typical state screenings that most agencies
use, which can be unreliable) and a national basis through the Federal
Bureau of Investigation (FBI). However, we place most emphasis on the
experience that the caregiver has and the intangible traits in a caregiver
which will mean so much in your day to day experience in working with
them.
You Are In
Charge
A very common profile of
our caregivers is: experience with volunteer organizations, strong church
affiliations, strong prior experience in home caregiving, certifications
as Nurse's Assistants or Home Health Aides. Most important, many of our
caregivers provide references to us from sources we can trust (other agencies,
churches, charities, hospices, assisted living communities etc.). We typically
provide Certified Nurse's Assistants (CNA's) and non-medical companions.
It is most important to us to put your needs first! We will only refer
a caregiver to you who has the necessary experience to fulfill your individual
needs.
You
are in charge of everything. Unlike typical nursing agencies, Visiting
Angels will not dictate to you what your schedule is to be (i.e. what
time to get up, when to bathe, meal schedules etc.). You are the boss.
It is our job to adjust to your schedule and to see to it that you remain
comfortable in your own home.
