Donya’s Letter
My dear sister, I received your letter and thank you very much that you didn’t forget me. When I’m receiving your letter – it’s same like I’m talking to you. I’m very weak, staying in bed and it’s very boring because I can’t walk – my leg is very painful, there is an open wound on it and I even can’t get up from bed – so bad it is. I’m living alone and my children and grandchildren are visiting me. Michael’s sister’s son is weak also. One year ago his mother died. It’s winter here now. Please write me, sister, how are you – is it warm or cold, and also I’m asking you – please, write to my Olya – maybe she could send me a letter. Thank you very much, sister, for your picture and pictures of your children. I’m very glad to see my relatives. I’m ending my letter and my best wishes to you, your children and grandchildren. Please, answer soon.
