The world has often been compared with an insane asylum. This comparison is by no means a very flattering one, but unfortunately, very fitting. Let us take a close look around ourselves and we will see strong evidence of a world gone haywire. Here we find prideful individuals-fools who believe that they are the blessing of this world, believing stiff-necked that GOD has created man for their pleasure. At their feet are millions who are even greater fools, bowing down to them in belief and humble obedience.
There is another who thinks he is a god of vice. He loves money like many of the emperors of long bygone nations, and the multitude hastens to fill their pockets with gold to acquire admission tickets into heaven. There are thousands kneeling before a statue, somewhere else before a snake, some other place before an ox. Some worship the sun, others the moon, others the stars, and others hug trees. Take a look at these people, because they are the ones of whom I am speaking in this book. You will find amongst them such, who could be seen as lunatics, and they come in different degrees from raving madness to slightly off balance, together with some poor imbeciles who are under much fear and trembling, always believing the devil will get them if they don’t recite their rosary. How manifold are their impressions of insanity? Often dreadful, often silly, often disgusting and mad, often pitiful. This religious behavior deserves our closer attention, for it is spread all over the earth and has brought sorrow to millions.
Is this condition incurable? Not at all. However, many physicians who are able to help them often have no interest, because they fleece the same type of people to their advantage, and they are afraid to loose their power over them, even though they know they could help many of them. Others, being honest, and dare to confront authorities, are being bound hand and foot and their mouths are being sealed.
Nearly 2,000 years ago CHRIST was born as a blessing to mankind. HE still is the great Physician, and those who use His medicine are healed from religious instability, which has been around for a long time. However, because of His great love for the sinner and the lost, the fools nailed Him to the cross.
It is my understanding that Catholic Christianity, the one that comes from Rome, has brought unimaginable suffering to the people of this earth. The good that has come as a spin-off for a short time could have been achieved without Christendom in more excellence, and it would have stood against any evil. Rome and Greece had come to greatness without Christianity, but no Catholic dominated country can show evidence of excellency in citizenship and greatness. What would have happened to Germany if it had been exposed to the true gospel of JESUS CHRIST? What has CHRIST and HIS CHURCH, to do with Catholicism? CHRIST preached freedom from bondage – Rome preaches bondage! What has the world won by this kind of religion, which has been botched by the Catholic clergy?
Believers who once were free from this kind of religion were made slaves even unto this day. The wooden and iron images of the earlier days have been replaced with living ones. Apologetics of Catholicism brag that they have brought about civilization to the heathen. It is true and I have to admit that for a few years this was so; however, the popery had a way to destroy the blossoms that had sprung up by turning Europe into a cess pool, which was worse than it had been during the times the pagan reigned.
Pope Alexander has said, “Every religion is good. The best however is the one that keeps the people ignorant.” He spake the mind of many popes before and after him. “Rome can only reign when the R.C. believers remain ignorant,” and with this understanding in their hearts and souls, the "apostles" of Rome were sent out to make sure that none of them would ever be educated in true Christian education.
Kings and nations prostrated themselves before popes. The power they have today together with their existence could be seen as a great historical wonder. Alexander's kingdom crumbled. The old Roman Empire crumbled. And many others have crumbled, because they were build on the power of warfare. However, the kingdom of the new Roman Empire which is in existence for over 1,500 years now will continue to exist until who knows when, because it rests on a "solid foundation", the stupidity of men.
I feel ashamed to be a human being when I think of the ease with which the popes and priests have bound hands and feet of men to themselves. It was done with crude deception, and it was done openly, and should have been recognized even by the most simple minded person, since the priests had not even made an attempt to hide their shameless activities. With the most brazen craftiness did they go to work robbing Christianity, because money and more money was Rome's answer to its problems. Multitudes of plump monks and nuns fattened themselves from the hard earned money of the poor peasantry, who were only too willing to fill the treasury of Rome. The only excuse they may have had was that since they had such a miserable life here on earth, they were desperate enough to find a place of rest in heaven, even if it cost more than they could afford.
Every time voices were heard that spoke up against the wrong-doings of the priesthood, the flames would quickly be extinguished. Narrow minded princes helped do away with the "heretics ". However, every drop of innocent blood seemed to raise another enemy against the clergy, and another battle against common sense was started by Rome. They had believed it had been smothered.
Like a giant did the crude Luther slash through the trickery of Rome. Alas, a contemporary of him, Casper Schwenkfeld, said, “Luther has led us out of Egypt and has taken us through the Red Sea, but left us in the wilderness and didn't bring us into the land of milk and honey.” Luther, on the other hand, saw things from a different point of view. Having been a monk who had slid up and down the steps of St. Peter's cathedral, he was neither able to see the light at the end of the tunnel, nor was he able to free himself from the grip of Rome, right up to his death. His complaint was that his scholars continued to build on his foundation. They stuck to the words of their master and remained Lutherans. Luther wanted them to study the Bible since he had given them "breathing space", but they had chosen to read his books. He said at one time, “I wish they would pulverize these books and burn them.” This rigid clinging to his word has brought much damage over the centuries.
