Kenneth Lockwood sent me a nice e-mail last night.
At Laufen,there was a Lieutenant Mike(Michael) Scott -DLI-taken prisoner in May 1940.
He arrived at Colditz on 27.06.1943 with the "Eichstatt Mob"(as they were known).
Sadly he died a few years ago.

Whilst at Laufen another PoW, Hamish Forbes (now Sir Hamish Forbes), quite an artist, painted a picture of Mike Scott on a bed-board.
That very bed-board is now at the Imperial War museum amongst the memorabilia.

Mrs. Sybil Scott, his widow ,would very much like a picture of it.
So that's what I will do in the next few weeks.
While I'm there I wil also take some photographs of the original tools used to construct the famous "Colditz glider"

Went to the Imperial War Museum today to photograph the bed board.
Allan Jeffreys of the ImperialWar Museum is very helpful.
The board appears to have two paintings on it. One on each side.
