Miyawaki Wataru, vocalist of 12012, was arrested on charges regarding the attempted strangulation of a female acquaintance, whose injuries took a week to heal, after drinking one night in August. Though few details are currently available, police are investigating these allegations, which will hopefully shed some new light on the situation, which we should patiently await rather than passing judgment on Wataru.
(there are currently 2 versions of the story circulating, not sure which is correct.)
A journalist who is into the visual scene and is friends with many musicians wrote about the situation on his blog.
What is the expectation of the police who announced the private matter of an incident resulting in injury, which 12012 is currently reconciling for and settling out of court?
The vocalist of the visual kei band 12012 (who also have a blog on the Holiday server like I do), Miyawaki Wataru, was arrested at the Takao police headquarters on charges of assaulting a female friend. Miyawaki is in the process of reconciling with the injured woman, reaching a settlement out of court, and being acquitted of the charges.
Since the origin of the band's name is from a Los Angeles police code, which means "possession of a dangerous weapon," when I heard of this incident, I thought it was 12012-like... Well, since he's a rocker, it can't be helped.
At any rate, I can't help wondering why the police announced this despite the arrangements to reconcile and settle out of court. I can only think that the police have some kind of expectation. What were the police aiming for with this private incident involving drunkenness? The truth is... that person has some sort of interest.

The girl reported the assault on August 23. She had a sprained neck and bleeding surface wounds.
Wataru was arrested on September 10th, and the band never mentioned him after that point in their blogs.
"Kyouki Shoji" also known as 12012. Shifting your attention from the catastrophe--and toward the planned sale of a single on October 17!!
"Shifting from the catastrophe to good fortune" is surely what this is becoming. "Kyouki Shoji," also known as the visual rock band "12012," are reaching their climax all at once. The police headquarters have announced that the vocalist of 12012, Miyawaki Wataru, strangled a female acquaintance, and was arrested at the Takao police station.
From the fact that the victim, a woman who lives in Hachiouji, reported the injury, even though the police arrested him, that's a private story after all. For some reason or another, in Miyawaki's case, the trouble between a man and a woman resembles the incident resulting in injury that took place between Hotei Tomoyasu and Machida Kou of BOφWY. Furthermore, in Miyawaki's case, he has reconciled with the woman, and arranged an out of court settlement. From that, the Takao police station released Miyawaki on a "punishment deferment." Nevertheless, why did the police headquarters release the details of this scandal? Were they trying to pick a fight with him because of the band's name? "This is Japan!" However, the result of the police headquarters' acknowledgement of "12012" caused a sudden rush... which is ironic.
The label which they are a part of, UNIVERSAL MUSIC, has received many inquiries from the media and fans. Generally, such a rush like that, coming from a personal scandal, is referred to "having an unexpected stroke of good luck." This sort of thing, because it's in the rock business, I believe it isn't an everyday occurrence... Besides, in the entertainment business, there's no need for this kind of outburst. Since he was released on a "punishment deferment," there shouldn't be any problems.
The sale of the band's second single, "SHINE," will go on as planned on October 17th. Before the year ends, there are plans for a full album.
