Some notes on things which aren't obvious or maybe are too obvious
to be noticed
Unfortunately, one notices really interesting things not very often,
so these notes are very few. One more thing: I would like to hear from you about
something you'd like to share!

People usually are something which they do not realize that they are.
On the other hand, if people think they have such and such features, they
do not really have them. Maybe this is not universal, maybe it is more
complicated than I stated it, but there is something in it. Think of the
virtues you think you possess. I am not saying you don't have them... I
guess what I am saying they are not automatic.

Children have two main, in my opinion, things, which we gradually lose
in the process of life: a) they behave by the principle of maximum pleasure,
and b) they have no doubts.
-
Nothing can be done twice. If one does something to obtain a pleasure
(remember principle of pleasure from the previous paragraph?), or a certain
effect upon oneself, the second time the effect will be weaker or different;
gradually the effect diminishes, if we exploit the same pattern. Isn't
this one of the reasons the life gets a bit, uhm, stale? What's the solution,
you may ask? I do not really know. Perpetual improvisation? As always,
theory sounds nice, but is it easy? Write me what you think...

The negative side of people (or few other entities, such as "national
character") is often just a continuation and "side effect" of the positive
side. In fact, the negative side sometimes can be better understood
if one looks at the source - the positive, good side. Then, maybe, what
you see in other people is just a matter of personal preference and inclinations...
You might see more of bad side in others, or you might see the good side.

Sometimes people (or some people) are unhappy. They think "Oh, just give me the right person and I will be happy/will show what I am capable of". The following is one interpretation of this. To me this signifies that the "unhappy" person is very very deep, very very much capable to do good. Instead of waiting for the luck to fall on him, that person should instead try to accomplish with the rest of the world what (s)he could be capable of when the right circumstances/person come. Isn't this the same what Maslow called "self-actualization"?
