{title:Yesterday}
{st:Paul McCartney}
Y[C]esterday,
[E7]All my troubles seemed so [Am]far away,
[F]Now it s[G7]eems as though they're h[C]ere to stay,
Oh, [Am]I beli[F]eve in yest[C]erday.

Suddenly,
I'm not half the man I used to be,
There's a shadow hanging over me,
Oh, yesterday came suddenly.

[E7]Why she [Am]had [G7]to g[F]o,
I don't k[G7]now, she wouldn't s[C]ay.
[Am]I sa[E7]id s[Am]ometh[E7]ing w[F]rong,
Now I l[G7]ong for yeste[C]rday.

Yesterday,
Love was such an easy game to play,
Now I need a place to hide away,
Oh, I believe in yesterday.

Why she had to go,
I don't know, she wouldn't say.
I said something wrong,
Now I long for yesterday.

Yesterday,
Love was such an easy game to play,
Now I need a place to hide away,
Oh, I believe in yesterday.

	YESTERDAY
	by John Lennon/Paul McCartney

	tablature by Jonathan Byrd

I have listed the basic chord progression above the tablature.
Sometimes the melody is part of the chord, and sometimes an extension
of the chord. I did not indicate which notes should be sustained. To
show the timing, I placed a "v" over each beat. I typically play the
intro, two verses, the bridge, another verse, and the coda.

                              H.Wright@astro.cf.ac.uk

You need to tune all strings down one tone for this - so when
you play a G shape it actually comes out in the key of F.
It's important to do this - you can't just play the thing in F
using normal tuning - you need some bass notes which you can
only get by tuning down a tone and playing as if in G.

(I'll write all the chord names as if in standard tuning)

This songs sounds cool if you have two guitar players, and one plays chords
and the other plays lead.
