Batman

Young Bruce Wayne swears to avenge his parents by waging war against criminals everywhere. As he grows up, he “becomes a master scientist and trains himself to the peak of physical perfection, able to perform amazing athletic feats”. Then, a bat flying through his window inspires him to dress up like one…

Notes: Batman was built with the assumption that he has trained his basic statistics up to the limits of human ability, but still has to gain experience with some of his specific skills. He will generally use his Aces ability solely to add 1d for the use of a needed skill that he has forgotten to take, then use his next Experience or Will points gained to actually buy the skill for future use.

None of Batman’s gear at this point in time requires Gadgeteering to create, unlike his Silver Age incarnation. Batman will typically have a variety of conventional equipment on his person. Some examples:

Batarang- uses Throw skill, does width in Shock.

Bulletproof vest- 5 LAR for Torso

Strong line- may be used for climbing or swinging, can be tied to batarang to place.

Something explosive

Something incendiary

Something acidic

Criminology tools- fingerprint kit, IR flashlight, tweezers, evidence bag

Escape artist tools- files, lockpicks, etc.

His Batmobile and and Batplane are state of the art vehicles, but do not count as gadgets.
