a chinese version of "the
hours"?! only this one is a lot better. true, this movie is all about
women, and some of the emotions and experiences mentioned can
only be understood by a woman, but this movie, with its brilliant
criss-cross of timeline and scenes, is alot more fun &
enjoyable (& maybe comprehensible) for the male audience than
"the hours". (poor allan almost fell asleep during "the
hours"...or has he actually fallen asleep?!)
as you all know, i don't have much likings for
chinese movies, but i'm the one who ask ppl out to see this
one. but
before i did, while bb was watching this trailer in another movie
with narmyan, she said to her that i'm sure to like this one as
the 3 actresses are the types i like. and
she's so very right!!! i haven't told her anything about liking them
before, it's amazing how she can just tell like that. that's
what's best about old friends. they remember what you like and
they KNOW what you WILL like. (mind you, she doesn't have a
particularly good memory, but she can remember little things
about my likings that i will never expect her to know. (i
don't even remember telling her...) eg. my
fav author agatha christie and artist keith herring mouse pad
from france for my bday? oh bb,
you're the best~ i say we
MUST go to europe together someday.) good friends don't have to 特登 remember, they just take heart in
understanding you.
ok, let's get started about the movie. first
of all, let me introduce you to the 3 actresses and how i come to
like them.
... 張艾嘉﹕ i don't know when i started liking her, but
her directing is quite good and sentimental, at least from a
woman point of view. i
remember her singing too, especially the song <<因為寂寞>> --- she doesn't have much skills
and all, but the way she sings, there's just something unique about
it, somehow appealing.
... 劉若英﹕haven't have any idea who she is until we
watched <<雙瞳>> together at steven's back in
van. thought she acted very well in it. and she's quite pretty too. always think she looks a bit
like 蘇玉華, dunno why. she just reminds me of her. still
thinks she looks a bit like her in 20,30,40.
... 李心潔﹕ like her very much from "seung
fei", which is one of a few quality chinese movies that
brought back (or initiated?) my interest in 港產片. (should have started writing down my thoughts
after movies earlier. i
remember having so much thoughts after <<想飛>>. nope, can't write about old movies now that i've so much
new moviews still pending...) everyone knows her best from <<見鬼>> as she won best actress for
it. it's
a pity i still haven't seen it yet. i just
got too many unseen dvds/vcds piling up in my room...never have
enough spare time. she's quite pretty also (again, the style i
like). you
just can't tell she's nearly her 30s. goh
says i look a bit like her. haha, i wish.
it turns out that rene and angelica are both
slyvia’s 徒弟. is it coincidence or is it true that you’ll
like the type of people that resembles yourself?
and now for the movie...
