reminded me so much of “the gosford
park”, but this one is a modern version. (both have some british
aspect in it too.) despite
the additional element of loneliness in the modern life, the
complexity of human relationships remain. misunderstandings, lies,
desires, the dark, hidden side of man.
the cast was great.
i knew only a few of them when i bought it (i just
recognize john c. reilly.
oh, and gwyneth paltrow.), but after looking through movie
sites (try www.rottentomatoes.com, it’s good), most of them are in movies
i’ve seen before. and those are good movies too.
alright, back to the movie. i guess one of the main
themes is
“forgiveness through understanding”, whose idea has been gone over for a
million times, but god knows how few can actually
have the heart to accomplish.
