How many houses do you own?

Daniel: I am multi-housed, but half of it'll go on the divorce settlement. (He's single, so we assume he's joking.) Yeah, I have a home here and in Australia. Ideally, I'd have a home in New York too.

Which countries have you visited?

Daniel: It's easier to tell you where I haven't been. I haven't been to Africa, or China, or Greenland. That's about it, hahaha! My passport is a slut; it's been with everyone.

So which country has the craziest fans?

Daniel: Easily Singapore - must be all that oppression. I didn't think we'd even need security until we landed, then it was ridiculous, it was on the news and everything. I got squirted in the face with a water pistol and I was terrified. I thought it was a real gun, but she was only trying to cool me down!

What country has the most alien culture?

Daniel: Japan. It's fascinating. Everything is in a can, which I really dig. And they are courageously fashionable; everyone has to have the craziest haircut or the craziest shoes. But it's all so crazy it just blends in.

Let's do favorites. What's your favorite...

Place for shopping?

Daniel: New York, or London. Probably London for fashion, 'coz New York's a little too 'urban' for a geeky white dude. I buy trainers and convince myself they're cool - and if you're in The Fugees they probably are, but not on me.

Currency?

Daniel: Australian currency because it's all plastic and funky. The only down side is that it looks completely fake, like Monopoly money.

Language?

Daniel: Portuguese - it's really sexy. French kicks butt too. I can say, "Hello, we're Savage Garden" in way too many languages, but I always learn the street way, like in Japan you say, "Psycho" which means really cool, so you say, "Tokyo Psycho!" rather than, "Tokyo is really groovy, dude."

Finally, what's your fave ocean?

Daniel: None of them - because of the movie Jaws and because I think airplanes are going to crash into them! I don't want to be hanging on to a piece of fuselage in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean singing 'My Heart Will Go On'... (Darren starts singing in a scary Celine Dion type way, Smash Hits creeps away...)
