1. Darren loves chatting and surfing the net. 

2. However, on the net he's never Darren Hayes from Savage Garden. Instead, he loves pretending to be somebody else.

3. Savage Garden originally had about four different names like Dante's Inferno, Crush, and Bliss.

4. The name Savage Garden is inspired by an Anne Rice novel. They believe that each person has two levels- a beautiful exterior (garden) and a savage inside.

5. The smash hit 'I Want You' was inspired by a fair lass who caused a fair bit of heartbreak. "But, she doesn't know. So, I can't really tell you her name" - Daniel.

6. Daniel was born in Essex, England.

7. How they met...
Daniel had a band called 'Red Edge' and needed a singer. He placed an ad in a Brisbane magazine called 'Time Off' and Darren turned up at the audition. The rest is history.

8. Though Darren sang the audition piece in the wrong key and his voice split, they clicked immediately. In fact, Darren walked out of the audition feeling he was going to be famous one day.

9. Darren always did well at school!!

10. Darren and Daniel have had exactly three arguments to date.

12. Darren spends hours in front of the mirror each morning.

20. You hear 12 voices in the chorus of 'I Want You' - six of Darren's and the other six of backup vocalists - all mixed together.

35. Daniel's infatuation for Meg Ryan inspired the song 'All Around Me' [an Australian only B side].

36. Both Darren and Daniel are huge fans of Anne Rice's vampire chronicles.

37. Daniel would never blind date a girl from the first row of a concert because he thinks that they're only attracted to his on-stage persona.

38. On an AOL interview: "If you could do a duet with anyone, who would it be and why?"

Darren: "Anna Maria LaSpina. Because she's the only person on the planet that I think my voice fits like a glove."

50. Darren collects everything that has anything to do with Star Wars.
