Transformational Conversations:Transforming Auckland Business |
business peoples' consultationsyour story and others' stories
|
A transformational conversation is the opportunity for 12-20 business people to sit around, each tell their stories of God in business, and try to figure out what these experiences indicate about theology and strategy for ongoing advance of the Kingdom of God. This is then integrated and reflected on against the scriptures by a theologian and collated and published in similar manner to the Creating an Auckland Business Theology booklet. Some topics proposed: Ethics in Business: the weekly turmoil of business doesn't always result in right decision-making. Open talk, stories of struggles to find a Christian way of doing business. Stories of Transformational Groups: accountability / mentoring groups for Christians in business leadership: existing models, experiences, ways forward. This is an extension of a process over the last three years, where Christian leaders across multiple societal sectors and ethnicities within Auckland under the framework of Vision for Auckland have been meeting to understand God's conversation with the city. And the conversation within the city. And how these two mesh into city transformation. Each transformational conversation may run from Friday 4 p.m.-Sat lunch, all day Saturday or Saturday 3 p.m. - Sunday 3 p.m. and is hosted by a group of local churches. One of the pastors are allowed to sit in to learn theology from business people(?!) and to aid in reflection. If a group of pastors would like to
host a conversation or if you are a business person and
wish to participate, contact for ongoing information:
