| Between June and
September 1997 the Walt Disney Company started producing Mini Bean Bags
Plush, commonly known amongst collectors as MBBP. Costumed
versions of Disney bean bags soon followed the original release of what are
now called the “test?MBBP in 1997. They started appearing at the end
September 1997 with Santa Pooh.
The height of these beanies are like 8". When they sit down, the height may be 15cm; when they stand up, the height may be 20 cm. I also found it very interesting that the old Poohs are shorter and skinner than new released ones (after year 2000, I guess). Maybe we should feel happy for Pooh because he puts on some weight!!! He does look more adorable now. |
At
first, I only collected poohs mmbp released in the United States. However, I
started to collect European releases in 2003. There are four different
designs in United States: Catalog
Exclusive, General DisneyStore, Walt Disney World Exclusive, and DisneyLand
Exclusive.
