J:
Good evening, this is Glay's Bassist, JIRO.
We have just finished the concerts at Osaka Kouen not long ago. We are at the middle of our concert tour now, this is a very good tour, please look forward to it.
And for this week, i will do a special about RADIOHEAD's new album KID A. I played one of their songs last week too, please stay tune!

J:
I got a postcard from ITO MIKIKO san saying "ganbare ya!"  (work hard/good luck)
And also request from the internet, from Naoko san, Ray0175 san, and other listeners: GLAY's "tsuki ni inoru".  Thank you for your request.

J:
Good evening, this is GLAY's bassist, JIRO.
some more request for the song "tsuki ni inoru", from Fuji san saying "Good evening, JIRO san. I like GLAY very much. I am involving in a band now and we like to copy GLAY's songs."

J:
Anyways, this is GLAY's JIRO, please stay tune until 1:00 tonite. YOROSHIKU.

J:
The is GLAY's bassist, JIRO. The song i just played is from a Vanessa Paradis album from 1992,
called "Sunday Mondays". The other one is "Again" from Lonny Krovitz, whose new best review album will be released on Oct 15.  The name "Greatest Hit" gives me a feeling that they should try to think more... (for a better title) (laugh)

J:
I received a postcard from a listener called "oha-rock" san, asking about recordings.
"good evening, JIRO san. I am sending this postcard to ask you about recordings. I know nothing about recordings, so please kindly teach me.
Question #1: why does a recording soemtimes take up to 3 months?"

J:
recording... how to say?... for writing a song... hm... alright, for example, when we say "let's do a recording!"  first of all, we need to write some songs.  That's not an easy process. It's not like we can just come up with songs by playing the guitars, it takes time.
But for example, it may take me one day to compose a song with the guitar, and then another day to play it with the band.
There are alot of ways to arrange a song, we can make it into a dance beat, a band sound, or we could even play it wtih an acoustic guitar and make it into acoustic style.  It is quite confusing to choose which way we want to arrange the song.
For example, when we were doing a song like "beloved", we spent around 2 hours to talk about the arrangement of the song. And the we spent time redoing it again and again until we were satisfied.
For GLAY, unlike Luna Sea, they put alot of imagination into their songs, but we are not like that.  We believe in Reality.  We want to put our spirits into our songs, and it usually take us long time to do arrangements.  I think this is very difficult to explain.

J:
"Question #2: does everyone perform together?"
I believe this question is about recordings.
For songs like "fatsound", we do recordings all together like what we do in concerts.  But for some other songs, we do separately.  Of coz we do reherseal together for many times, but after that, our drummer, nagai san, does his recording first, and the rest of us do our recordings separately according to the drum recording.

J:
"Question #3: i heard this in your talking, "be-fu", "puri-puro", and "gene-puro", what do they mean?"

J:
"be-fu" is..what is that?...hm... "beateria melody". Like the intro for "yuuwaku". (Jiro sings out the intro "daradaradara....dara.." in the intro of yuuwaku)
that kind of drum beat is called "be-fu".  And also the "cha-cha-che-cha..." in "fatsound" is called "be-fu" too.
"puri-puro" is like the preparation before the recordings. If we say "puri-puro", that means the preparation we have to do before recordings.
and "gene-puro", what does it means? it is general production.  When General Production beomes "gene-puro", it has this very japanese feeling to it.  This is the production in the real show.

J:
Thank you for your postcard. Please send me more questions like this.  Please listen to the next song, "STONE FREE" from Jimi Hendrix .

J:
For this week's JIRO no yakata, I will introduce RADIOHEAD's new album "KID A".
First of all, it has been 3 years and 4 months since RADIOHEAD released their last album.
Shall we listen to the opening song first? I really liked it when i heard it for the first time.  It's a very good song, please listen.  RADIOHEAD's "Everything In Its Right Place".

J:
The song that we just heard is RADIOHEAD's "Everything In Its Right Place".  This is the first song in the album.
It seems that everyone (in the band) have their own opinion for the order of the song list, but everyone agreed to put this song as the first song of the album, isn't that very cool?!
This album is very good, since their last album from 3 yrs and 4 months ago.  It has been on sale in Japan since september 27.  They (the cds) are all sitting in the record stores now, please go and get your copy too.
The following songs i chose are  RADIOHEAD's "The National Anthem" and "How To Disappear Completely".

J:
This is JIRO's Buggy Crash Night. I am doing a special on RADIOHEAD's new album "KID A".
The following song is RADIOHEAD's "Idioteque".

J:
The song we just heard was RADIOHEAD's "Idioteque".  Their album released on September 27th.  It seems like they are doing their concert tour in Europe right now.  When will they come to Japan? but there's nothing written about their concert trip to japan yet, i wish they will be here soon.  They didn't come since their last visit in Jan, 1998.  I am looking forward for their new performance.  I think this is a wonderful album, although it may be a bit negative and hard to understand for some people, but the message is very strong.  It's totally different from music played by acoustic guitars, it's very new and interesting.
I have played alot of their songs today, and i will play alot from now on too.

J:
