Nobody in this blue planet would love to see it turn red. Seeing
other people killing other people is such a distasteful scenario.
Same as with people killing a life inside a womb.
Abortion
is an induced termination of pregnancy and expulsion of a baby that
is incapable of survival. Abortion
is a murder. Abortion is an alternative. No matter how experts or
even ordinary people try to find not so harsh words to define
Abortion, no Thesaurus or Dictionary can possibly do it. And no
amount of intelligence in this world can depict how pitiable are
those who discontinue a future of an innocent being, waiting to be
nurtured.
Abortion
is such a rampant solution to many couples just to escape from the
consequence of their pathetic action. This problem has many roots as
well as effects.
Initially, it starts with the family. I don’t know if I’m
in the position to say this but I believe that improper upbringing
of the elders somewhat cause the child to discover the things
parents must be the ones to edify into their minds. Moreover, if the
child knows what is right, as instilled by their elders, they would
also know how to act accordingly as they grow, fall in love, have a
family and become full member of our so-called society. That we must
realize.
There are
many different ways an abortion can be performed. Different methods
are used under different circumstances and after different
developments of the embryo or fetus. No method of abortion is 100%
safe, and no method is 100% successful.
Abortion, in
some form, has existed in the human race for millennia. Ancient
tribes would sometimes be forced to move quickly, and pregnant women
could slow the entire tribe down. Abuse of the woman's abdomen, and
later abuse through excessive horseback riding, could cause the baby
to be born prematurely. This baby was then either killed or left to
die. Unfortunately, the mother also frequently died during the
birthing. Today abortion is much safer
for the mother, but just as deadly to the child.
In other cultures the question of the legality of abortion varied,
however there was a general theme. Unborn life was seen to be the
equal of born life. For ancient cultures there are logical and
non-moral explanations for this trend. Hundreds or thousands of
years ago there were no pregnancy tests and no tools to perform
early-term abortions. By the time an abortion was performed, the
baby was delivered, premature but alive. The abortion process would
be completed by infanticide of a born child.
How
dreadful is this?
Congressional and senate sessions in many parts of the world still
has opposing views when it comes to agreeing or debunking the idea
of abortion. Too bad because there are some states in the US wherein
abortion was legalized as to some parts of China just to realize
their 1 child per family policy. Since the legalization, child
abuse, illegal abortion, and teen pregnancy rates have all sharply
increased.
Where are the moral and ethical values? Obviously it’s missing.
But then again, trying to analyze the current situation of many
countries right now, including the Philippines, there’s a great
need to reanalyze the worldview of the humankind. What is really our
purpose in life? Is it to kill or to provide life? Remember that
we’ll soon be parents. Then we’ll know the answer. |
