His band mates, Her best mate , Her younger sister, , sat there with the arm of her older brother, , around her shoulder. She was crying. Her parents tried to comfort each other; her mother was sobbing loudly into the chest of her father.
looked down onto the envelope again. He read his own name a few times, before turning it over and opening it. He unfolded the pieces of paper and read every word carefully.
“Dear ,
I can remember the first time I met you. We were both at a gig.
I was with my mate , remember her? And you were there with your three other mates, , and .
You’d spilled a glass of beer over my new top and apologised for at least a million time. You looked so cute; not quite sure whether to try and clean my top or not. Which you eventually didn’t. Instead you gave me your number and told me to call when I decided that I needed a new top. It was really sweet.
After two weeks I phoned. To be honest, , it wasn’t even for a new top. We both decided to meet up again on a date.

finished reading the letter and looked up, his eyes were all red and blotchy from where he had been crying.
“She’s never going to come back, is she?” asked staring at the letter, reading it again and again.
“No, I’m so sorry dude”, replied , his band mate, who sat down next to him.
stood up and walked out of the hospitial, ignoring the shouts from his band mates.

“Hunni, I’m home”, shouted as he walked into the kitchen.
jumped up and quickly wiped her eyes.
“ , what’s wrong?”, He asked looking at her with concern in his eyes.
“Nothing’s wrong, I was just having a moment, don’t worry about me!”, she replied walking up to him and kissing him lightly on the lips.
“You sure”.
“Yeh, I’m sure, anyway, how was your day?”
“It was good thanks, how was your day?” he asked still not quite sure about her.
“Brilliant”. She replied.
“I’m just going to 's,… erm,…she said that…she…..erm…. she…wanted to….talk to me, yes, that’s what she said”
And with that jumped up and ran out of the door.
just stood there and stared at the door. He had never seen her like this before.
Meanwhile, at 's house, got there and started banging and screaming for her.
“ ? What’s wrong?” asked getting really worried “has done anything to you?”
“NO! I’ve got to tell you something” replied as tears streamed down her cheeks.
“Ok, come in” ran in the house and made sure that wasn't in.
“Don’t worry, nobody’s home. Now, what’s wrong? Has something happened?”
“I’ll tell you only if you promise not to tell or . Promise?”
“Promise”
“Ok, I’ve only found out today”
“OMG! Your pregnant”
“No, its something worse”
“What?”
”I went to the doctors the other day, and erm.. they did tests on me and I got the test results back today and im ill” whispered looking down at the floor whilst tears streamed down her face.
“OMG hun, is it ok, can they get rid of it?” asked as tears started to form in her eyes.
“Well that’s the hard part, they said they cant get rid of it and I might be going to die. what am I going to do?”
“ , no you cant, how long have you got to live?”
“They think 2 years at the latest. What am I going to tell ?”

ran all the way home to his flat, the flat that onc shared. As he stepped into the living room, all the memorys of and the wonderful times they spent together.
Why did this have to happen to ?.....
Just then his phone viberated in his pocket, he had a text.
Dude were r u? where all worried sick bout u, call me wen u get dis txt.
He threw his phone back into his pocket and sat down. He didn’t want to be with anyone, he just wanted to be alone.

“Tell him. Please do it for me” begged as she burst into tears.
“I can’t I don’t want to lose him”.
“If he really loves you, then he’ll stay with you”.
“Ok, I’ll tell him as soon as I go home. Thanks you’re the best friend a girl could wish for said as she got up and hugged .
“You’re gonna be my best friend for the rest of my life. And don’t worry your not going to die, I’m not gonna let it happen and neither are you” Replied as she hugged back when she started to burst into tears.
“I got to be going now, thanks dude so much”.

woke up and heard a knock at the door.
“ ,DUDE IT’S ME , ARE YOU THERE??” shouted.
“CALM DOWN, CALM DOWN I’M COMIN” shouted back as he opened the door to find a worried .
“WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN?? EVERYBODY’S BEEN WORRIED SICK AND WHY DID….…”
“Dude calm down I’ve been here and I was asleep before you came round shoutin at me for no reason”.
“I’m sorry its just that we thought you were gonna do something stupid”. said as he looked down at the floor blushing like mad.
“Why would I do that????”
“Erm..because of… erm….. it doesn’t matter.”
