Here are some details of Harlem Beat's main characters.
Naruse Tohru : He's
the boy who has some special power in jumping. At first he has no skill
in basketball. He's always worried about everything (or at least almost
everything). Though he's the main character in this story, He hasn't got
any personality that's some kind of smart. He's not good looking. He's
nothing but a good guy!(?)
Sawamura Masahiro : I and my friends' favourite
character in Harlem Beat. Actually, he should be introduce third or fourth.
But I'm unfair.(HA HA HA) His past wasn't any happy, you should find it
out by yourself if you wanna know it. He's very good player with lots of
trick. He's always cunning and it looks as if he's older than his age,
maybe because he has to look after himself. He doesn't have his parents
to look after him. What a poor boy.
Kuzuda Mizuki : She's Naruse childhood friend in an elementary school,
and they met each other again in sports shop she was working for. She's
the one who take Naruse to Three Men's hoop at the first time and the one
who introduced him to Street basketball. She's the perfect character (or
at least , almost perfect). Pretty, wealthy, healthy, kind and so on...
Ah! I almost forget to tell you that she's also the person who ask Naruse
and Ozaki to form a team "Scratch" with her.
Ozaki Kosuke : He's
a tough in Shibuya (where the Three Men's hoop is located in). He knows
nothing about basketball rule. Taking advantage in having big and tall
body, the only thing he could do at first is dunk. Always cheating and
not caring about the rule. He hasn't got any patience. But after he has
been friend with Mizuki, Naruse and the others, he's getting better and
better.
Sakurai Shuichi :
He's Naruse's senior at school. He's the best player of the school team.
And also a very popular player. Also kind and intelligent. You may think
he's captain of the team, but he's not. He always cheer the others up by
his cheerful and lively manner. Always smiles in anywhere and anytime.
Kobayashi Sumisuku
: He's also Naruse's senior at school (but Sakurai is his senior again).
Am I making you confused? Let say that Sakurai is in 3rd year, Kobayashi's
in 2nd year and Naruse's in 1st year. Kobayashi is a rather cold person.
He's also a very good player too and is very important part of the team.
Yabe Kiriko : She's
in the same year as Sakurai. She's the manager of the team. Her personality
is just like a cunning fox. She has her special income in selling the photos
of some players in the team to the girls in the school. She enjoys teasing the others
especially Naruse. She's the tough in the school.
