2004 Staff
Jennifer Esposito-Co-Director - Jennifer, a.k.a. Espo, completed her seventh season (1997-2003) instructing the color guard for the Victor J. Andrew H.S. Marching Band in October. After marching at Andrew from 1993-1996, she went on to graduate from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois in June 2000. She is now working as an accountant for SmithBucklin in Chicago, Illinois. Jen has also marched with the 1997 Acclaim Winter Guard and the 1998 Heritage Winter Guard and taught the Independence Winter Guard for three seasons. She was instrumental in bringing a winter guard back to Andrew H.S. and is very excited about starting another winter season.
Miss Julie Larson-Teacher Sponsor/Co-Director - Julie graduated from VJA in 1992 after 4 years as a mellophone player in the marching band. She went off to Northern Illinois University and achieved her B.S. in Biology and a M.S. in Human Anatomy. She is now working at VJA as a science teacher. Not only is this her fourth year of teaching, but she has completed her fourth season as the Assistant Marching Band Director and is geared up as the sponsor of the Winter Guard's fourth season since its resurrection. Although she has no skills when it comes to flags and rifles, she will be an additional set of eyes for cleaning and the person that organizes the winter guard from a school and administration point of view.
Alan Buzalski-Show Designer - Alan has been participating for a countless number of years in the color guard world as both a performer and instructor. He has marched with the Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corp, The Guardsmen and Miller's Blackhawks Winter Guards. He has also taught numerous high school guards in Indiana and Illinois and is currently the Color Guard Director at Lake Central High School. Alan has just finished another successful year teaching at Andrew this last fall season. This will be Alan's third season with the Andrew Winter Guards where he will be designing and writing the shows.
Lisa Otto-Technician - A 1985 graduate and past marching member of Victor J. Andrew H.S., Lisa went on to Illinois State University, where she attained her Masters Degree in Speech Pathology and Communication. She is currently a speech pathologist in a local elementary school system in Tinley Park and is also a proud mother of two-Zachary and Makayla. Lisa has been instructing the Andrew H.S. color guard and winter guard since 1992 and has also been working with Independence since 1998. She is looking forward to a great season with the VJA Winter Guards.
Kelley Rasguitus-Dance/Equipment - Kelley recently finished her first season with the Andrew Marching Band. She will instructing the guards in dance and equipment. More info to follow.
Samantha Parker-Technician - Sam is a former Andrew guard member who has come back to give a helping hand. She is currently attending cosmetology school and will be helping us with teching work and other odds and ends. More info to follow.
