My future career choice must be challenging, enjoyable, and make an impact on other people.
My career goal is to become a veterinarian. My love for animals is not the sole reason
that drives me to want to care for animals for the rest of my life.
Everyday for a veterinarian is a challenging day. You never know what you will be faced with.
Along with that, vets must use all of their senses to treat diseases in animals. That is the
most challenging part.
Not only is it one of the hardest professions, it is one of the most diverse professions. You
can work in the country or city, in a small private business, in a corporation, or for the
federal government.
From food to companionship, animals are a part of everyone's life.
Thus veterinarians make a big impact on people's lives, which is my main goal in life. I feel that as a veterinarian I can utilize my talents to make a positive impact on the world. (OK sorry to go off on that--just something I am really passionate about!!)

Established in 1916, the College of Veterinary Medicine is one of the world's leading institutions in animal health care and research. One of only 27 veterinary colleges in the United States and the only one in Texas, the College of Veterinary Medicine is actively involved in issues affecting animal care and well-being, public health, food safety and numerous other areas. In recent years, it has become a world leader in cloning procedures and has become a pioneer in several cloning techniques. With more than 175 faculty and an extensive physical plant, the CVM is one of the largest veterinary colleges in the world.
Below, Texas A&M researchers (from left) Mark Westhusin, Joe Templeton and Garry Adams introduce 86 Squared to the media at the College of Veterinary Medicine. The 1-month-old Angus bull is believed to be the world's first cloned animal that is resistant to such diseases as brucellosis, tuberculosis and salmonellosis.
