| AC/DC Members' Autograph/Writing Analysis | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Note: These are only amateur guesses at handwriting analysis, they may likely be inaccurate. I did this for fun, so take this page with a grain of salt. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| This started when on the AC/DC Elektra board, someone posted a picture of a guitar Brian Johnson signed for a charity auction (seen below). People started analyzing the writing, and I joined in. There are a few other pictures of autographs I quickly found to make this page, I'll probably look for a couple more in the future to add to this. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| (This was cropped a lot to save space on my Geocities account. There was a picture of a Viking drawn below the autograph, you can see the horns and top of shield in the remaining picture.) The g's are finished and don't connect with the rest of the word (as does the d and f not connecting in "grandfather"). I'd guess that could mean a person could fully wrap up a project and move onto something else easily, or be able to adapt from one thing to another quickly. The writing is smooth and steady, and doesn't look rushed. It could mean a person works at a careful, yet not-falling-behind pace. In the work a person does, it is done while taking care of all the details, but done out of a labor of love. The person doesn't dread this work, they enjoy it. As for the Viking, maybe it means they feel they have tough, primitive, down-to-earth, or conquering blood in them or their heritage. |

| Malcolm Young's signature on a copy of Flick of the Switch. This writing is interestingly straight up and down. I almost feel like it was written with an "up, down, up, down" type of continuing rhythm, which leans towards musical creativity or ability. The loops in the Y and the g (first and last letters of the last name) aren't all that far apart, and they have similar loops that connect with each other. My guess would be that a person will, at the end of a journey, have a connection to where they started from. Could indicate connections to home, youth, or beginnings in life throughout a person's years. |

| Bon Scott's signature. I pick up a lot of energy and spunk from this. The B has a curl written behind it after the entire letter was formed, like it couldn't stop there, it had to keep going. The scribble under the signature shows the person isn't someone who shyly makes their mark and runs away; they stick around and continue to make a bold statement. |

| Angus Young's signature on a copy of the Live album. The huge A is not only is over top the first name, but continues over the last name. This person makes an entrance others won't soon forget. The upper circles of the g's and the Y are quite thin, but the bottom of the first g and Y are quite pointed. They will get quickly to the point and tell you what you need to know without beating around the bush with useless details. The last g doesn't end abruptly or drag on too long; this person has a good sense of timing and when to do what. |
