My Trip to the Trapp Family Lodge
(May 12 & 13, 2003)
 Hello! My name is Katie (the trivia one...lol.).
I've just returned from the Trapp Family Lodge. It was beautiful.
The mountains and the flowers - it was very cool. There were a lot of different flowers and plants all over and they even had a person specifically hired just for the garden. They have a lot of different of activities and stuff for both children and adults, but I didn't really do anything except swim. It was great swimming because everyone was in school or at work and so there was like no one there, I loved it!!!
The people were extremely nice and I had the most wonderful time.
There were a lot of pictures of the von Trapps and The Sound of Music (I am s0o0o0o obsessed
with that movie - i saw it like 200 times atleast in the past 5 months...lol),
there were even some pictures of the broadway version and Die Trapp Family
(the german movie). There were so many pictures of them, it was great because I
learned so much!!
Anyway, there are a lot of rooms. There is a dining room, a lounge,
a room where you like can watch tv, there is a lobby, and a few othersthat I can't
remember...lol! The gift shop had a lot of stuff in it that were so cool. I got the book
Maria Augusta von Trapp wrote and their CD.
 Oh yeah and the best thing happened
to me! I got Maria von Trapp - the one who was sick and needed a governess to come stay
and teach her because she was so weak (and so if it wasn't for her, there never
would have been any Sound of Music!) - to sign my book. It was s0o0o0o0o ko0l! I
would say that was definatly was the greatest part!!!!!!
Well that's all about my trip.
It was really amazing there!
