Some time in 1994:
  S.S. Arvind weds.
  (As of Feb 1998, in his own words) I got married to my "college sweetheart" Meera in '94 itself. It will be hard for most of you to believe, I became a father on January 10, 1998. Yes, exactly a month back. I was there in India for the delivery and our son, Arjun by god's grace is doing fine.
November 1994:
  Sudha Rajan weds.
  (As of March 1998) Pradeep and Sudha met in LA early 1994 and got married in India in November. She is blessed with two sons: Sidart 2-1/2 yrs (born Oct. 1995) and Pranav 7 months (born July 1997).She presently lives in Los Angeles and has started her own business at home. Her job includes doing all kinds of immigration related paperwork and filing including work visas (H1), citizenship and greencards.

(In her own words) hubby is pradeep vancheeswaran....older son is sidart pradeep and younger son is pranav pradeep....sidart will be 5 yrs / oct 9th and pranav just turned 3 yrs. both are adorable brats...of course thats the unbiased mom saying that...hehehehe. oh...and dont forget to mention my daughter...lady!! our one year old miniature daschund!!!
Mid 1995:

  (As of Jan 17 2000, in her own words) Well, I am currently in Santa Fe. I lived in NYC for a couple of years before moving here in 1997. Been here since. I have been married for over 4.5 years. I worked as a Cost Accountant in India at M & M and IDBI for about 3 years. I completed my CPA in 1995 and am working as a controller at a Real estate investment company.

  (As of Jan 2000 in his own words) I am working for Standard Chartered Bank; married for the last 3 years and have a son a year old. I happened to take my son to school last week (no it was not for 'booking' a seat). The buildings that housed our primary classes is no longer there. The school is one concrete jungle and I was pained at such a sight. I am visiting school after about 7 years. The old guard is gone. I have 4 cousins still studying there. Rohini's son was refused admission. I still remember the days when we studied Hindi together. Shakuntala was the teacher and you were facinated by the phrase 'India Ltd'. - you used to append the phrase to whatever you spoke. The days we rehearsed for the Hindi plays produced, directed, edited....and what not by Lakshmi(miss). Invariably every dialogue used to start with "Arre"!

  (As of Aug 12, 2000 in his own words) If you have seen the note about me consulting for K. Srikanth, now you can have the latest dope about me. After October 98 I have been part of a new set up which I own along with 3 others, their background is from advertising, marketing services and art direction respectively. We are primarily an event management company and designers of corporate pavilions at exposition. We create branded architecture for marketing at exhibitions for large corporates in South India. As part of the event company we handle product launches for companies, organise live music & star show, produce entertainment shows for TV channels etc. In the personal front I am married for a year now and my wife is expecting a baby in November 2000. I keep in regular touch with Viva, Shiva, M.D. Prabhakar, A.M. Sridhar, Satish Vijayan and most of the guys who live here.

I did my bachelor's in Hotel Administration, from Manipal & have been in the Hospitality / Hotel industry since. Recently, I have done a Professional certification course from the American Hotel & Motel Association and am an Associate of the Hotel & Catering International Management Association, London. I have been in Goa for the past 2 years and am working at the Cidade De Goa, as the Food & Beverage Manager. CDG is a 5 star deluxe hotel & is beautiful.Those of you who can, should come to Goa for a holiday. It would be a memorable experience. Somewhere in between ( 1997 ) I got married. My wife's name is Sarita. We now have a 2 yr. daughter, Sanjana & the next due in mid Dec '00.

What fun....We had Sandhya (that was a surprise), Sujatha, Revathi, Sudha, Ranga, Sundarraman (the would-be mappillai, hopefully...unless certain miscreants have talked him out of it ;-) ), Sharad (wife Rithika and daughter), Bhaskar (the new bald father), Viva (the eternal bachelor), Rohini, Siva (grow up Siva ...I am just kidding!) and myself Roopa (what do I say hmmmm.....). Everyone pigged out the food at Carnival...expcept for Sudha and Siva who were so egrossed in their respective soups that I dont know if they got to the main course. I had my third glass of Musambi juice, no ice, no sugar, no water for the day before some of us hopped over to Vijay's cafe where I did share a fourth glass with Mr. Adarsh, my son. For those ignorant foreigners, Vijay's cafe is a cool sports joint in Park Sheraton that our boyz often patronise. All in all Chennai does have a lot of fun in store for all of us...those here and for those visiting. That's my report on the rendez-vouse...till later..-Roopa

Hi Muthukumar, Great to hear from you. I finished from Vivekananda College too. I am sure you remember that we were in the same section. I, then did my CA and was working for Ricoh India Limited for about 3 years in Chennai. I got married in 1998 Sept and came to the US in Aug 99. My wife(sheetal) is a Software Engg in Sapient Corp, Jersey City. I am finishing my MBA in another 2 weeks and am starting work in Philips Electronics as a Sr.Auditor(first week of June). I am yet to have a son/daughter:) Hopefully some time soon.(nothing as of yet!!!) Its been such a loooong time since Vidya Mandir..Any idea if anyone else from Vidya Mandir or Viveka are here??? Do let me know their email addresses if you have. I dont know too many guys from Science/Bio...I know that Padhmanabhan is here(The economics guru along with Mouli) Do u have any photos of yourself and family??

Some history...
Was with Amex at chennai in the credit cards division for about six years and then was at HSBC chennai again the cards business for about two years before joining HDFC bank.
I got married on May 3rd 1999 to Radhika. And we have son , Haridh. Radhika works with ABN Amro Bank at chennai.

After my post graduation in Vedanta philosophy, i have been conducting lectures on Bhagavad gita,vedanta and Self management.
