INSTRUCTORS WEBSITE:

I have put together a website at the following address—www.oocities.org/vmcgowan . This website can be used in various ways. It can be used to find out due dates / requirements for major assignments. It can be used for completing extra credit assignments. It can be used to find interesting and helpful links on the internet to do research. It can be used to email the instructor (both parent/guardian or student.) It can also be used to find out your current grade (I will try my best to keep grades updated on at least a biweekly basis.) The grades will of course be posted anonymously. Only you, your parent / guardian and myself will know the code name that you use to retrieve your grade with. In order to participate you must fill out the attached agreement and have it signed by a parent or guardian.

You must have access to the internet. Many assignments will be internet only. If you don’t have access at home you will need to get access via the Brearley IMC, the Brearley computer lab, the Kenilworth public library, or from a friend or neighbor. Saying you don’t have access will not excuse you from the assignment.

The site will be updated periodically (approximately every two weeks or so). The grades will be posted anonymously using a code name that you select. The only people who will know your code will be you, your parent/guardian and Mr. McGowan. Please do not give this code out or choose something that your friends can easily discern.
