PROCEDURES:

intro to Torts

difference between torts and crimes (where are cases heard? How?)
3.
learn important terms like: tort, plaintiff, defendant,
judgment, liable, remedy, liability, settlement, intentional wrong, negligence
and strict liability.
4.
students are each given a word of two and must write an
example for each term and share it with the class. (they may not use examples already given)

your case to court? Who pays? What proof is necessary? How is it different from a criminal court.

3. The steering Wheel Failure. Students are broken up into 3 groups to work
on these cases. They must answer them in
writing to turn in and must present to the class their case and outcome based
on their understanding . (5 points)
