Use the format below to write your sociology paper.

SECTION 1 ( 50 – 100 words)

Describe your initial reaction to your group.  Were you excited, disappointed, nervous, etc.  be specific and use references from you initial log to explain why you felt this way.

 

SECTION 2 ( 200 words)

Describe your concluding thoughts about your group.  Were they consistent with your original thoughts?  If they were the same, why do you think this is true?  If they changed, specify what changed.

 

SECTION 3 ( 200 words minimum for each person in your group)

Analyze each member of your group according their contributions / impact on the group throughout this semester.  Provide specific examples from your logs for each person in terms of their actions to backup for analysis of each person.

 

SECTION 4 (300 words minimum)

Describe how the group dynamics in your group changed overtime.  I am looking for very specific examples of how the group interacted to prove your descriptions.

 

SECTION 5 ( 100 words minimum for each person in your group)

List each member of your group and provide an example of when they showed leadership.  For each example tell what the exact behavior was and be sure to spell out what style of leadership it was (use the textbook or your notes for help on this one.)

 

SECTION 6 ( 200 words)

Write about a time that someone’s presence or absence from the group effected how the group operated (this effect could have been positive or negative.)  Be specific.  You can write about a time that someone was absent when an activity was completed.  Or you can write about a time when you think if someone wasn’t there things would have gone either better or worse.

 

SECTION 7 ( 150 words)

List and describe three things that you learned about how people behave in groups that you noticed from this process.

 

SECTION 8 ( 150 words)

List and describe three ways that being in a group affects an individual’s behavior that you noticed from this process.
