Prologue

“ Are you leaving already…?”

“ I got an early appointment…but I will be back in the evening…”

The younger one kissed the man lightly on his exposed back and leaned his head on the broad shoulders.

“ I will miss you…”

“ Me too…be good in college...I will see you later…”

The man stood up from the bed as he start to dress himself leaving only the younger one lying now on his stomach, his head buried deep in the sheets.

“ Honey…I left some money on the table…you said you wanted to get some new clothes for the freshers’ party, didn’t you?

The younger one was silent.

The man lifted the younger one’s face away from the sheets.

“ Hey…won’t you smile for me and send me off with a sweet kiss?”

The younger one tried smile yet it was evident that he was barely making it. The man leaned in closer and enveloped the young one’s lips in his.

“ Goodbye, honey…see you later…”

Chapter 1: The Mid Term Transfer Student

“ Ohayo….!!!” Die shouted from afar.

“ Ohayo, Die- senpai…” Shinya bowed politely as he noticed the elder one walking towards him.

“ You sure are early ne, Shin-chan…Where’s your bro?”

“ He has gone to report to the administrative office, he has been assigned to guide a new transfer student around the college and to help him get adapted to the new life here…”

“ Well, that transfer student must be the son of one of the big shots in this school then, having  the president of the student council himself to escort him around the school compounds…”

“ From what I heard from Aniki, doesn’t seem like a case, he is just an ordinary student with a talent in designing. However, the school thinks it was best to just have someone show him around since he transferred over mid-term…”

“ Hmm….somehow its still suspiciously having Kaoru do it personally…”

“ Playing ‘Die the Detective’ again, eh, Die-senpai?” Shinya eyed the elder one playfully. Laughing when he remembered the last time Die played the detective game and ended up getting himself almost jailed for sexual indecency when he was searching through the women’s toilet for the ‘so-called’ criminal.

“ Women finds me attractive when I act this way…” Die tried his best to put on the Sherlock Holmes posture earning a louder laugh from the younger one.

“ I think it’s probably the idiotic part that they find it astonishing….”

“ Why you little…..”

In the Student Council’s Admin Office…

“Kaoru-kun, let me introduce you to our new transfer student…Toshiya…Toshiya, this is Kaoru Niikura, third year, majoring in Business Economics. If there is anything you need, Kaoru will see that it will be done.”

Toshiya bowed politely to the elder one.

Kaoru smiled at his politeness. He replied the gesture as he also offered a handshake but he was stopped by the teacher immediately.

However, before anyone could say anything further, Toshiya accepted the handshake and smiled. His smile was perhaps one of the most beautiful ones that Kaoru has ever seen and it was truly charming.

“ Ano…”

“ Daijyoubu…it’s our little secret…” Toshiya smiled to the teacher as he place one finger on his lips to signal to that the teacher that he must not tell anyone. Kaoru was still clueless about the whole situation however he was puzzled about the whole secrecy of the handshake, to him, it was just a genuine gesture.

“ Sensei, please excuse us, I would like to take a look around with Kaoru-senpai…”

“ Hai…Kaoru-kun, please take good care of Toshiya…and please do not forget your responsibility as President…”

Kaoru gulped as his eyes met the killer stares that his teacher was giving him. Not as if he was not responsible enough for his position already, however, it just seems that Nagisa-sensei seems a lot more tense today than how he usually is and it made Kaoru ever more careful with what he normally do best already.

“ So it’s your first day, how are you feeling?”

“ I’m very excited….I’ve waited so long for this to happen….I’ve always wanted to come to college and experience what it’s like to hang around with people of my same age and study and hang out and stuff…” Toshiya had a huge smile on his face which reflected that he was really excited to be here, this type of feeling of excitement of going back to school was something that in Kaoru’s opinion a rarely seen innocent gesture these days.

“ Kaoru-chan…”

Kaoru sweat dropped.

Toshiya turned towards the source of the sound.

Die smiled brightly the moment he set his eyes on that beautiful creature before him.

“ Hello, sexy….you must be the newbie in college…and my you’re one fine newbie….”

“ Eh-hem….!!!!!!!!!!!” Kaoru coughed loudly seeking for some attention but it was a failed attempt.

“ Kaoru must have been boring you with facts and figures….why don’t ‘I’ show you around, eh?”

WHACK!!!!!!

“ Itai….!!!! Why did you do that for?”

“ Hmm…lemme think….BECAUSE YOU’RE AN EMBARASSMENT…..!!!!!!”

“ Hey, no matter how I look, I am after all the Vice, ya know?”

“ Vice?”

“ Gomen Toshiya for the interruption, let me introduce…this brainless twig is the Vice President of the Student Council, Daisuke Ando. You can just call him Die…”

Toshiya bowed politely to Die and smiled.

“Don’t smile like that…you just made my heart melt when you do that…” Die said as he lifted the younger one’s face to take a better look at him.

Suddenly someone grabbed hold of Die’s hand and twisted it in a distorted direction making Die winced in pain. Everyone looked in shock as they saw a much shorter man standing before them with an annoyed look on his face.

“ Kyo-kun…”

“What are you doing here, Toshiya?”

“I will be starting college this year…”

“ Is that so…” Kyo said in a mocking tone, somehow the atmosphere became tense.

“ Hey…let go of me…” Die shouted in pain. Kyo finally let go.

“ Who are you?”

“ It’s none of your concern who I am…Toshiya…if you are serious about studying, then you better do so…if you are just fooling around like how you used to, then I suggest you better leave this place…I can’t guarantee I will be able to speak to you again in such calm circumstances the next time I see you…”

“ Hey watch your mouth, I may be a low life flirt but at least I know that there is no need to threaten people here…” Die said annoyed by Kyo’s remarks.

Kyo looked at the elder one from top to bottom.

“ So you gotten a new target already, so what is it this time, Roll Royce or Mercs huh?...I must say your taste can’t get anymore worse than that…”

Die was so angry that he was fully prepared to launch a fist over that bratty face of Kyo’s when Kaoru intervened.

“ Kyo-kun, I’m sure there is no need for such harsh words in such a beautiful morning, if your matters with Toshiya are personal, I shall suggest you resolve it amongst yourself instead of bringing it into college and I don’t see the need to drag others to this matter, don’t you agree with me that this is the less childish way of resolving this…?” Kaoru said in a stern voice, one which reflected his seriousness and absolute superiority over the shorter man.

Kyo was silent and in a swift motion, he turned around and left the three.

“ Are you alright, Toshiya?”

“ Daijyoubu…Are you alright, Die-senpai? Itai?” Toshiya lightly touched the part which Kyo had grabbed hold off tightly moments ago.

“ Iie…nothing that I’m not used to…hahahahaha…” Die laughed awkwardly as he sensed the intense concern in Toshiya’s innocent eyes.

“ By the way, Toshiya….who’s that….an old love of yours…?” Die asked only to earn another punch from Kaoru on his sides.

“ Hai…my ex- boyfriend from high school, it is a small world, isn’t it?...Can’t believe that we would still be able to meet again…”

“ It must’ve been a sour break-up huh?”

“ I didn’t expect that he would still be angry, I thought he would’ve moved on by now…”

“ Ah well, he didn’t look like that forgiving type anyway…”

Suddenly as if remembering something, Die took hold of both Toshiya’s hands and brought them close to his chest as he smiled cheerfully.

“ Well, I got my arms hurt because of you, so you have to pay me back…MEDICAL COMPENSATION…hehehehe….”

Without allowing Kaoru or Toshiya to protest further, Die had already dragged the younger one away from Kaoru sight, heading towards the nearest cafeteria.
