Part Two
“Toshiya, I’m home,” Kyo called as he walked into the apartment. Toshiya jumped where he was sitting on the couch and sniffed quickly drying his eyes. “Long night?” Toshiya asked forcing a happy voice. “Yeah, somebody’s been sifting money from the tills,” Kyo called pulling off his shoes and dropping his jacket on the floor. “So the boss kept us late trying to find out who did it.” Kyo walked into the kitchen and grabbed his glass from the counter, holding it under the faucet he filled it brimming with water. Kyo took a huge gulp and went to the front room sitting next to Toshiya on the couch. Toshiya moved his face so Kyo couldn’t see him. “So how was your day? Did you freeze your ass off again?” Kyo laughed. “Yeah, an icehouse is a good idea in the summer but fucked in winter.” “I tried to tell you.” Kyo stopped and leaned over looking at Toshiya’s face. “What the fuck happened to you?” Kyo yelled pulling Toshiya’s face to him. Toshiya’s lip was split and seeping blood to cake with the already dried. Toshiya looked away from Kyo and said nothing. “It was that fucking wannabe Yakuza punk wasn’t it?” Kyo asked. “I can’t help it if the girl he likes wants to hang around with me, I do my best not to lead her on, but she wont take no for an answer.” Toshiya’s eyes watered as he thought about the day. “You have to learn to take care of yourself, to fight back. This is the second time Toshiya.” Kyo stared at Toshiya but the younger one just looked away. “If this happens again I’ll find the fucker and kill him; no one’d miss him anyway.” Toshiya looked at Kyo. “The Yakuza would, and then they’d find you and kill you back.” Kyo stood up and went into the kitchen. He opened a drawer and grabbed a towel. Running warm water from the tap he drenched the towel then twisted it dry. He walked back into the front room and handed Toshiya the wet rag. “I’m serious though Toshiya,” Kyo said sitting back down. “Let me teach you how to fight, I get into street fights all the time; tough punks looking to earn street cred by fucking up the little guy.” Kyo laughed evilly. “Have you eaten?” Toshiya asked. “No, you want me to make something?” “No I’ll do it; how ‘bout eggs and tofu?” Toshiya thought. “That sounds good.” Kyo nodded. Toshiya stood up and walked into the kitchen, wiping his lip with the towel. He pulled out a frying pan and grabbed the supplies from the fridge. Waiting for the pan to heat up he walked back into the front room. “You have tomorrow off ne?” Toshiya asked holding his hands behind his back and rocking on the balls of his feet. “Yes, thank god, the sounds of pachinko are driving me in-fucking-sane. Plus that bastard redhead; you remember the one I showed you?” Kyo looked at Toshiya. “He keeps bugging me and hanging around, talking to me. He’s so annoying.” “Isn’t he the son of the Oyabun?” Toshiya asked. “I guess; I’ve seen them go up to the top floor together; I’ve been trying to ignore him though.” Kyo sighed. “Oh but Kyo, he’s so pretty; you should take him out back and show him a good time,” Toshiya said pulling his lower eyelid down with his finger. Kyo stared at Toshiya wide eyed. “Toshiya, that’s fucking sick!” Kyo jumped up from the couch and chased Toshiya into the kitchen; falling against his friend’s back Kyo pulled his punches and hit him a few times in the arm and side. Toshiya just laughed and leaned against the counter. Kyo pulled away from him and brought his hands through his tufts of black hair. Toshiya turned around and sat up on the counter. “Anyway… I was thinking; could we go ice-skating tomorrow night?” Toshiya asked blinking cutely. Kyo winced, last time they had tried that his butt had hurt for a week. Toshiya had a way with the ice though, and he glided along like he was born to. Kyo thought that was maybe why Toshiya liked him so much. Kyo had packed himself in proverbial ice ever since running away from home, not too long ago, but Toshiya had a graceful way to glide around it and instill himself as Kyo’s only best friend. Kyo managed a smile. “If you insist,” he said. Toshiya smiled and nodded as he slid off the counter and went back to work on the food. Kyo watched Toshiya as he cracked the eggs and sent them into the pan; cutting some green onions he tossed those in too. Kyo knew he loved Toshiya but would never say it, didn’t need to in his opinion. Toshiya was the best thing that had happened to him after he’d taken off from home, his new brother; well his first brother. They’d found each other and decided to room and share rent under the false claim that their parents were always at work. Toshiya had been kicked out by his father after a night that he had come home late; his mother had gotten claims that her son was the local trouble maker and was skipping school and not doing his work; they couldn’t handle the embarrassment of such a son and had sent him packing. That was the story Toshiya had given Kyo anyway and Kyo wasn’t going to call him a liar. Kyo couldn’t stand his father; they had very opposing personalities and fought a lot. Then his old grandfather would get involved and Kyo would be overrun as they teamed together to prove the boy wrong. Sometimes he missed his sister, and mother but it was a whole lot easier to live on his own then with the two men he hated most; besides, now he had Toshiya. Toshiya threw in the tofu cubes and caught Kyo staring at him. “What the hell are you looking at?” Toshiya asked sticking out his tongue. “Nothing really, just thinking,” Kyo replied flipping Toshiya off. Toshiya set a plate of food in front of Kyo and turned off the burner before sitting opposite the short boy and digging into his food. “Thanks,” Kyo mumbled setting his chopsticks in his hand. “No problem,” Toshiya smiled. They ate in peace, neither one talking nor needing conversation. They managed to share quite a few moments like this just enjoying being close to one another. When he had successfully cleaned his plate Kyo waited for Toshiya then took both dishes and plopped them into the sink. “I’m ready for bed how ‘bout you?” Toshiya asked sighing and stretching. Kyo nodded and Toshiya stood up with a yawn. “Oyasumi nasai,” Toshiya said smiling. He waved to Kyo then walked down the hall to his room. “Night,” Kyo called as he stood in the kitchen leaning against the counter space. Kyo began to wish he could protect Toshiya from that bastard hitting him so often, but all he ended up doing was comforting him in the aftereffects. Toshiya was a great person; he didn’t deserve that kind of crap. One day, Kyo thought. One day that fucker will get his just desserts. Kyo sighed and tried to free himself of his anger as he yawned and walked to his room. Kyo sat on his futon with its rumpled beddings and lay back against his pillow; not bothering to change into bed clothes. Kyo began remembering the day as he brought his arms up and clasped his hands under his head. That Daisuke kid following him around, trying to talk to him; it was so annoying and Kyo was sure there was something more to what he wanted than just to be friends. Milling thoughts through his head Kyo found it hard to even relax let alone fall asleep; but sleep did at last come and with it dreams and nightmares of not being able to save Toshiya.
Die smiled at his ‘comfort girl’ Eriko as she crawled across the floor to where he was sitting. Her naked body swayed by the light of the full moon dripping into the room from the slightly drawn shades. Die sat in his high-backed comfy leather chair that noticeably sunk when you sat in it; he leaned back and enjoyed the view of the girl before him. As Eriko reached Die’s feet she sent her fingers up his legs and pushed roughly against the smooth fabric of his suited inner thighs; she stopped just short of the bulge that was quickly tightening his trousers. Die was usually so turned on at this point he could think of nothing else, but tonight as Eriko pushed her face into his groin and breathed hotly through the fabric Die’s mind wandered. He struggled to pay attention to her ministrations as thoughts of his father’s words flooded into his active mind. ‘It’s time for you to learn the ropes and rituals of the Yakuza; you’re going to be the head of this family someday. You’re starting to have increasing visits from the ‘girls,’ and asking all kinds of questions of my Kobun, it’s time for you to learn. You will sit in on meetings and you’re to minister the next ‘sake-sharing,’ and I’m going to give you a first hand insight into business and put you in charge of that little pachinko parlor you love so much.’ Good, Die thought. That way I can be around Kyo more often. Die was strangely attracted to the short black-headed boy whom he was sure was lying about his age. He was strange and got into a lot of fights, but Die was sure that there would be a reason he’d need to be close to him. Die moaned uncontrollably as Eriko engulfed his throbbing erection. Die worked hard to find a different image to focus on as he was stimulated, but the only image he could see was of Kyo; how he had seemed ready even willing to fight with some street punks one day, the soft catch of skin as his shirt was ripped, the way you could just see glimpses of erotic zones, tawny nipples erect with his excitement to fight. Die felt himself getting harder as he was sucked and massaged by a well trained tongue. A warm hand cupped his balls and a finger was pushed firmly up underneath them. Die sunk his fingers into silky black hair and got a welcoming moan emitted around his erection; Die pulled the hair in his hands as he gently forced deeper into the hot orifice. Die met with resistance as the mouth pulled back against his urges and sucked and licked fervently at just his head. Die almost yelled a name but opted for a low groan as he shot into the mouth surrounding him. Eriko licked her lips and began to move her hands up Die’s shirt searching out his sensitive spots but he caught her hands and the confused look on her face. “I’m sorry,” Die said. “I’m just not really into this tonight. Can we just sleep?” Eriko stood up, enormously offended and stalked to the couch where Die had left her clothes. “You can sleep with yourself!” She said angrily as she threw her clothes haphazardly over her slim form. She flipped Die an unceremonious finger and slammed the door behind her. “Sorry I let that thing wander through the house,” Die whispered to himself shaking his head. Die took advantage of Eriko’s previous work and slipped off his pants, he threw them on his couch and unbuttoned his shirt. Grabbing a remote from his desk Die walked into the next room and flicked on the T.V. as he crawled onto his big soft foreign-style bed. The Godfather was just starting on one of the movie channels and Die decided to fall asleep to it; he noticed it was two in the morning as he took off his watch placing it on the dresser next to his bed, the remote soon followed. Then Die threw his shirt on the floor with his black socks and curled under his covers, wishing he had a friend; or hell even a few friends to share this big empty space with. He was smiling as he lay back against his pillows imagining a group of five or so friends in one big hang out, with no damn grown-ups and all their stupid responsibilities to get in the way. No more hanging with the Kobun and getting bored of staring at ‘comfort girls’; just a night to himself for once. As Michael was arriving at the wedding on screen, Die was already fast asleep.
