the 24x7 operation of an IBM 9672-ZZ7 running VM/VSE/DB2/Linux/zOS. I am also responsible for the VM
installation, maintenance and performance, as well as, VSE installation,
configuration, maintenance and performance.
I was responsible for z/OS installation and application prototype, as
well as, for the installation and maintenance of DB2/VM. I am responsible for all of the third party
product installation and maintenance for VM and VSE. I am also responsible for the installation and administration of
Linux/390. Other duties include tuning
the operating system, provide support to the programming staff, and provide
after hours support in time of need, as well as during hardware upgrades. I am also one of the last lines of defense
for application errors. I am in charge
of DASD allocations and tuning, and the performance monitoring of both the
system and the application. I was also
responsible for disaster recovery planning and the creation of procedures and
documentation.
