He married (1) MARTHA "PATSIE"HUGHES November 28, 1820 in Randolph County,illinois, daughter of JAMES HUGHES and RACHEL HALL. He married (2) SARAH W.THORN August 14, 1846. He married (3) MARGARET JORDAN October 22, 1857 in Jackson Co,illinois.
Notes for JAMES HENRY BRADLEY: His family moved to Gallatin,Sumner County,Tennessee when he was very young.He served in the Tennessee Volunteers from June 18,1812 to Sept 25,1814 and from Sept 29,1814 to April 27,1815.James received land for his military service and farmed it,besides stonemason work.He manufactured monuments,chimney foundations and grindstones.He was a justice of the peace,a fence viewer in Gognia township,overseas of Bradley Road District,and served on county juries in 1824-26,1828-29,1831-32,1834-39.James and Martha had 13 children and 6 of them reached maturity.from"Public Laws Enacted by Eleventh General Assembly" Jan 8,1840.That James Gillespie,James Bradley,John Moore,Benjamin F.Bradley,John Barrow,William Pike,Richard Bradley,Arthur Cross,John B.Burke,William Bradley are incorporated by name and style"President and trustees of Shiloh College"-Randolph County,Ill.James died at nearly 69 years old,having been one of Old Andy Jackson`s soldiers,an educator,a trustee of a college,a stonemason,a justice of the peace,He was buried at Gillespie Cemetary in randolph County,ill.
