Descendants of James Henry Bradley Generation No. 1 1.  JAMES HENRY5 BRADLEY  (JOSHUA4, HENRY3 JR.BRADLEY, HENRY SR.2 BRADLEY, FRANCIS1) was born June 13, 1797 in Caberrus,NC., and died March 15, 1866 in Shilo Hill,Jackson,ill. (Gillespie Cemetery).  He married (1) MARTHA "PATSIE HUGHES November 20, 1820 in Randolph Co,ill., daughter of JAMES HUGHES.  She was born October 15, 1804 in Randolph Co,ill., and died October 15, 1845 in Randolph Co,ill.(Gillespie Prarie Cemetery).  He married (2) SARAH W.THORN August 14, 1846 in Jackson co,illinois.  She died 1855.  He married (3) MARGARET JORDAN October 22, 1857 in Jackson co,illinois.  Notes for JAMES HENRY BRADLEY: His family moved to Gallatin,Sumner County,Tennesse when he was very young.He served in the Tennesse Volunteers from June 18,1812 to september 25,1814 and from September 29,1814 to April 27,1815,James recieved land for his military service and farmed it,besides stonemason work.He manufactured monuments,chimney foundations and grindstones.he was a justice of the peace,a fence viwer in Gognia TWP.overseer of Bradley road district,and served on County Juries in 1824-1826,1831-1832,1834-1839. James and Martha had 13 children and 6 of them reached maturity. From "Public Laws Enacted by Eleventh General Assembly" Jan 8,1840. That James Gillespie,James Bradley,John Moore,Benjamin F.Bradley,John Barrow,William Pike,Richard Bradley,Arthur Cross,John B.Burke,William Bradley are incorporated by name and style "President and Trustees of Shiloh College" Randolph County,ill. James died at nearly 69 years old,having been one of Old Andy Jackson`s soldiers,an educator,a trustee of a college,a stoneman,a justice of the peace,He was buried at Gillespie Cemetery in Randolph County,ill.
