Sunday 29th February will see the New Zealand Warriors and the reigning premiers The Penrith Panthers battle it out at Albany Stadium.

Although this match will be a preseason game it is sure to gain much attention from fans on both sides of the Tasman. The warriors were semi-finalists from the 2003 competition, and the panthers the competition Premiers. Both teams will be watched to see if where they are situated in the pecking order of this season.

The Warriors will be hoping to exact revenge on the team that ended their back-to-back grand final appearances dream in the 2003 competition. And the Panthers will be wanting to prove that the success of 2003 was not an aberration, by attempting to gain the Warriors prize scalp.

 Albany stadium has held a few epic league matches over the years. By gaining this preseason match, Albany Stadium  confirms it's role as an enthusiastic Rugby League venue.
