Warrior Diagnosed with Tuberculosis

Young Warrior Tevita Latu has gone through a lot recently. After what seemed like a bad flu was diagnosed as pneumonia it was then found that he had Pulmonary Tuberculosis. Pulmonary Tuberculosis is a serious disease infecting the lung.

The good news is that it was caught in timely fashion, and with treatment he is expected to make a full recovery. Tevita showed in the late 2004 season that he was ready to step up to the big time. The few occasions that he was given the chance to play he did so with passion and urgency, showing the veterans that they had better keep their game strong if they want to maintain their starting positions.

Playing with such enthusiasm earned Latu heartfelt cheers from the  Ericsson stadium crowds and murmurs of approval during workplace smoko discussions.

If Latu continues to play with this passion, whilst tempering it with a little level-headedness gained through more field experience he is sure to have a bright future.
