The Violinist of Hameln Game was made for the Super Famicon.  It's just as wacky and hilarious as the manga itself, where you play Hamel, and basically have to abuse Flute in order to go up in levels.  It has a "Mario Brothers" type of gameplay, with a scrolling screen that you walk along, fighting monsters with your Magic Music ( your violin shoots notes ^_^). Flute follows along, you can pick her up and throw her at things, step on her to get to those "high to reach" places, and dress her up in various costumes to give her special powers. For instance, if you put her in the Frog Costume, she can jump very high places, or the Robot costume enables her to smash through brick walls and walk on spikes.  But be careful that she doesn't get hurt... if she gets too injured, she'll get pissed and refuse to follow you.

How do I get the game? You ask? Three easy steps!

1) Download the SNES driver- (Must have DirectX 8.0 or later!!) Be sure that you download it into it's own folder. (preferably in an existing games subdirectory, so it will be easier to locate), Unzip and run the .exe file to play.
If you have a MAC, you could probably do an online search for an SNES driver compatible with Macintosh... sorry, I don't have one.

2) Download the Hameln Game- Unzip it in the same folder as your SNES driver to make your life easier. Otherwise you need to know how to nagivate DOS to find your file. *Update* This is the ENGLISH version! In the past I've had a few people give me english patched VoH Game files or links to such, but I kept on postponing the update until I completely lost their emails ><. I found this file at Home of the Underdogs

3) Read the Hameln Game Notes- For a mini-tutorial on getting started, and it tells you what keys do what.

Good Luck! Have fun!
