or end, for he is the Creator of everything under the heavens. A creator
cannot himself be “created” in creation. So God just “is,” which is why
God literally said to Moses, “I am the one who is” or “I am the one who
brings into being” (Ex 3:14). God brings creation into being and he brings
his church into existence. The Bible tells us God is, was, and is to come
(Rev 1:8; 4:8). God never changes, but remains the same forever (Heb 1:12;
13:8). God alone has immortality, that is, he has everlasting life in
his hands (1 Tim 6:16). {Source: Tjc} |
